This is the cheapest that I've seen this drive this year. It was a bit cheaper just before Christmas, again from Amazon US.

How are these drives for storing large files (video) and tons of pics (from my camera, not dodgy stuff!!) , plus also mirroring them ? Currently have 2x3TB mechanical drives in my fairly old desktop, mirrored, and was thinking of swapping out for SSDs, or maybe even buying a new desktop and adding a couple of these (purely for storage)

This is one of the more ideal drives for that kind of activity.
The MX500 is one of the better SSD's you can buy because of the DRAM, it handles reads well, especially when you're writing a lot of smaller files like pictures & the speed doesn't drop off for larger files like video.

Amazon should charge by default anyway

I have. But I'm hoping there may be avenues such as blue light or work perk codes thst I may not know of, but others do.

Any risk of duties in to UK and additional Post Office charge for collecting ?

I'm not too sure with this. However when I added to basket it shows the details in the screenshot.

For context, if you want pure storage, you can get 12-16TB for this money on HDD. (edited)

What would be the warranty situation with these?

    Send back to U.S?

I'm not too sure. All I can suggest would be to chat with Amazon UK & see if they can help, or even message Amazon US directly.

Can anyone share with me, a pathway/seller/retailer, to get a 1TB mx500 for less than the £68 on the listing?

£68.25 is the cheapest I can see on Amazon. Can you not search online yourself?
