I was searching for 500gb SSD's last night and nearly bought the Western Digital. Having seen this deal today i went back on to compare and the WD is now £40.99, with a £5 add-in bonus i paid £35.99!

Great price I cant believe how much ssds have dropped in price I bought this exact drive in march last year for £110 and that was considered a deal at that time

Great Find , I have been watching this as only the third party was selling it for this price, Now Amazon Lowered the price. Well done. Thanks for posting.

If anyone needs 2tb for £193.97, Use the same Link.

Heat added. This will get scorching hot! 🔥
Hot Hot Heat
Was going to get the 1TB but at this price I just went for the 500GB instead. Thanks.
Argh!! I was watching this drive for weeks... I held and held until it did't look like a deal was coming. Yesterday ended up buying a Samsung Evo 500GB for £68.99. Then of course this pops up today... Voted hot anyway.
Good timing just upgrading my mum's laptop. Ordered thanks.

How you get £5 off?

Search for the £5 off a £25 Amazon assistant deal posted on this site
I've got the 2TB drive, paid £187 on an Amazon deal a few months back.
Still in the box, waiting for Ryzen 3000.

I did however pay £202 for the 1TB version of this over a Year ago and that was also an Amazon deal.
£5 off only applies by using Amazon app and you can only use it once. Didn't work for me.

Yeah, tried to get it then checked the T&Cs...a day too late. Still a good price but the £5 off would have been the icing on the cake

Thanks. I paid a similar price for my Samsung 120gb ssd many years ago now, and have been waiting all that time to upgrade to 500gb.
Been using Crucial SSDs for years and never had any problems. Ordered. Thanks.
Would this work in a MacBook Pro 2012
Thanks just ordered and used the code AMEX25OFF which is working again when using some Amex reward points. This is £25 off a £40 spend so I got it for a little under £25.

If it has an optical (CD/DVD) drive, yep! If it doesn’t then unfortunately not.
Not it I swapped current hdd out for this

Arrgghh I paid £48 for a 240GB last June. Oh well, I don't really need the extra space anyway.
How do these compare to WD blues, need to get a new OS drive...

The specs looked pretty similar. Not sure in real world terms but on paper nothing really between them.
Bought this a couple of months ago and CrystalDiskInfo health status is now showing 98%. 1% drop each month
