This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

  • Sequential reads/writes up to 560/510 MB/s and random reads/writes up to 95/90k on all file types
  • Accelerated by Micron 3D NAND technology
  • Integrated power loss immunity preserves all your saved work if the power unexpectedly gets cut
  • AES 256-bit hardware-based encryption keeps data safe and secure from hackers and thieves
  • Product ships in Amazon certified frustration free packaging (may differ from packaging depicted in product collateral)

Also available non-prime from GAMEMZ @ £52.99 but ships from Switzerlanmd and not fulfilled by Amazon. Personally I would want to pay the extra and have back up from Amazon.

Fitted one of these in my Yoga 300. If you are not running an SSD then you need to. They are just amazing and my Yoga doesn't hang now when updating windows.

It's a decent deal, but 1TB seem to be a better value - 100% more storage for only 65% more money's.
£95.50 Vs £57.93
This is the average amazon price according to camelcamelcamel.

Needs to go sub £50 to be an offer.

Show me one and I will buy it. Perhaps you are getting confused with the BX500. I have been clocking the price of this for a while now as I bought one and now need another. Unless you want to buy from some dodgy dealer on ebay this is a decent price for 500gb and what's the point in paying extra for 1tb if you dont need it.

I really can't understand Hot Deals at times. Yesterday there was a deal for a 1tb Crucial drive from Amazon Germany that wasn't a deal at all because the price was wrong yet no doubt posted by a member of the programme so reached a decent heat value. Cheapest it's been since July on Amazon.

I get what you are saying, but... "I have been clocking the price of this for a while now as I bought one and now need another." then literally then next sentence "what's the point in paying extra for 1tb if you dont need it." This, this is the point of paying extra, because whether or not you need 1tb right now going forwards if/when (almost definitely when) you need more space you will already have the spare capacity rather than doing what you have done and having to buy another drive when you could have just paid a little bit more the first time. Not only is this not good value for money (especially with todays SSD prices, make the most of 1tb drives sub £100 while you can) it also means taking up another SATA port on the Mobo and another power cable etc. which for some people isn't even an option. There is also the issue of longevity and overprovisioning, the 1 tb drive will last longer with the same amount of data and will run quicker if the 500gb was full for example.
I get your point about the 1tb lasting longer but I can tell that by the time my 500gb has worn out I will have well moved onto something else. We have 3 laptops in our household plus various external storage drives. I don't need the extra 500gb. I have a 1tb sky box which 60% of space left. I don't have the time to watch the 40% of stuff I have recorded. We take pictures, we transfer them to our devices and then we never look at them again

£1 for gb the 1tb is better value but if you don't need the space then it's a waste of money which you could put towards something else.
