Hmmmm not sure I can bite on this... :/
@Brutes I've been following some SSD deals over the past few days as I want to replace the 1tb HD in my laptop.

I've been leaning towards the 860 EVOs but from what I can gather, these are fairly close (I'm not so bothered about a few % points less). As it will be my boot drive I want DRAM (which I think this one has?) and I've been reading some negative comments regarding ADATA drives.

I think this will fit the bill perfectly?

P.S. There's 4 available now
Saying 5 now, I purchased one from daveroy's original comment on another thread and apparently it said 2 then but showing I could order 5 right now..
5 year warranty is a big thing on these ssds. Wont get that with ebay?

Also looks like they charge a 20% restocking fee for returns. Which may be illegal in the UK?

I would avoid like the plague.
I think i would rather buy a drive like this from a known retailer or direct from crucial, sure might cost a few quid more but possibly worth it for that extra peace of mind.

Samsung 860 Evo has a 600 TBW vs the MX500 360 TBW. Both are DRAM SSD.

Spot on
You add the code PRICEWIN at checkout FYI as I was also seeing the above price but it’s pre discount. I’ve just bought one myself, after following SSD prices for the last 6 months . Thanks!
Ordered. Thanks .
Can someone possibly explain what the advantage of purchasing this particular 1TB SSD over others at a very similar price point* is? On the face of it (with the 10% discount factored in), the price doesn't seem that attractive.

As if the M.2 is cheaper! Think it’s time to ditch the mechanical drives.
A quick google suggests that the m2 transfer rates are in the 500Mb/s region? Is that true? For m2 that seems very slow.... m2 should be at least 1500Mb/s, but some are 3000Mb/s?

That would be NVME M2 not SATA M2

Real world difference is nonexistent, even benchmark results are negligible. I can’t even notice difference between my 3000MBs NVMe and my 550MBs SSD, but I definitely can my HDD

If fact, they listed it as "Weekend offer" and it's over now. Normally it happens when it gets posted here.
