No need for sex tonight. This is hot enough for me.
I'm just waiting for 2Tb to fall below £150 and I'll bite!

I doubt that as the 500GB model is currently £61 on Amazon.
Would be preferable, if you have an M.2 slot, to get the Intel NVMe drive that's on sale at the same price.
Great price and heated.

I just bought the BX500 which should be fine for a collection of Steam games, right?
Great price. Heat added

Define soon? As in.. Years, right?
Hoping this begins to tempt Sammy to edge closer to that £100 mark.
Great Price below £100....

For the sake of a few more pence I'd go for the standard packaging for £100.04, reviews state that the frustration free packaging can sometimes come second hand.

By End of this year

Nah next year maybe but this year no

It's just making Sub-100, You are absolutely right.
This is definitive 1TB drive IMHO. Buy it.
anyone who can help me between this and the adata or sandisk please. So far crucial is my favourable option

Both are good options.....Crucial being the more well known in the UK..
Got lucky and picked up an Intel 4TB PCIe U.2 Enterprise grade SSD for £207.
Listed as used but the Intel toolbox showed it as having 100% Endurance remaining.
Ran a test and it reads/writes at 3.36/2.06GBs.
Endurance rating is ~5PB and it has Enhanced Power Loss Data Protection.
Best deal I've had in ages from eBay.
Could this be made into an external for an Xbox (1x), with a caddy of some sort..or better to buy one ready for purpose? Thanks.

Yeah and it's makes a big difference compared to the internal and a standard usb HDD. Another option would be to open the X up and clone the drive to the SSD and then take advantage of the sata 3 speeds.
How do you clone to this?

Yeah, I can see that. Doing it is another matter though. Made more awkward that I use a Mac.
It’s about the only thing I preferred PlayStation for, the ease of swapping out the internal drive.

Yeah in all fairness getting the drive out of the Xbox one X is the easy part lol, formatting the new SSD drive so the Xbox one sees it isn't easy. Shocked they didn't add a easy access tray and a way of formatting a new SSD on the console. Think the reason they haven't made it simple is because they wouldn't make money at there repair centre on failed hard drives if the end user could do a easy swap like on the ps3/PS4.

It’s not something I’d bother to attempt, in fairness. With the new one on the horizon, shipping with an ssd I’ll leave alone. I toy with one for a second external though, but maybe if/when DayZ gets a decent update...other than that I’ve not really seen any issues with my current WD 3.5 speed wise.
Got this for £91 on here from an eBay shop. Just cloned old HDD today that hardly even managed to load to desktop in 15 mins. It's now loading from cold in 15 seconds. Didn't even need to reinstall windows, which I expected would have been needed.

Highly recommended!

soon as in ~2 years, very late 2020 when manufacturing will have maxed and no further plans to develop 2.52 ssd (change focus to solely on m.2 inc. caddys for backward compatability)

.. its already £77 as per one of the hukd posts.. going much faster down than I thought
Bought a mypassport and if you connect it to a BT smart hub youuse as a sort of nas it will only read the files from my mac. If its formatted as fat32 you can read and write files. Time machine needs it to be formatted as mac osx extended. I have no idea why but when you connect it directly it works fine. Any ideas??

You realise there is a difference in quality with this deal and the one which is £77. Technical way to explain it is the difference between Samsung SSD Evo and qvo drives. A simpler way to explain it is comparing a Ferrari with a mini

Or another way to compare is buying Ferrari if 99% requirement is for a BMW.. there is no point in buying the nand3d version if the laptop is old. For top end model laptops there is m2 anyway.
£105.10 now..

Slightly cheaper from Crucial direct for £104.39
