Lowest price since end of November by looks of it
Thought drives had dropped below £100/TB?

This should be near £25

Yeah not the best value for money, 500GB is probably the sweet spot.

These (MX500) were on offer for £50-500gb a while ago, £37 to me is way too much, should be £30 to be a good deal

Well... 250Gb for a DRAM SSD of the 2nd best brand for £37 is a good price. Doubt they will get to £30 any time soon.

My issue is that 250Gb DRAM SSDs aren't really useful. For boot drives, NVMe is the right choice. For data drives, 500Gb at least is needed. For single drive on a laptop, the bottleneck won't be the disk so DRAM SSDs shouldn't really show any massive gains over DRAMless.

Sata SSDs still make capable boot drives. They have a bigger real world difference for most over hard drives than nvme over sata. Also most nvme drives are over 2x the cost of sata.

I agree Sata SSDs make capable boot drives. What I said is that Sata DRAM SSDs aren't much of an advantage as boot drives.

There really isn't that much in it though. (MX500 at 30.6). Yet the WD black for example will be ~£68 for the same storage. Also there will be some that don't have an m.2 slot if they have an older system.

Many older laptops don't have nvme slots
