    These are great drives and I have the 1tb version and regularly get 850 MB/s write speeds on both Mac and pc. I did have a dabble recently with a 1tb Samsung 970 evo plus nvme paired with an orico enclosure and coming in at £76 for the pair get a consistent 1000 MB/s write speed, so probably worth it for the extra £10!!!

    QLC NAND, a modified old Crucial P1 at that.

    Buy a 2TB TLC NVMe drive and enclosure instead, even save a couple of £ in the process.

    If you simply MUST have it, spend a little over a pound more and get it from Amazon, at least it's easy to return if it fails or just performs sub-par. (edited)

    Great in 2021 when I bought this, but it's 2023 and NVME prices have caught up (or caught down I should say.) and they're much faster.

    Still a nice little portable drive, steady real world speeds of 800MB/s.
