I was looking a RAM upgrade for my late 2013 27" iMac and on checking Crucial the price was at £65.99, the last time I looked it was closer to £90. Amazon still around the £80 mark, so looks a decent deal...

Hi what's the max RAM that can be put in a 2013 iMac?

27" max 32Gb 4 slots. 21" not user removable.

Believe it is 32gb.

I just added 16 to the 8 that's already there. 24gb is more than I could ask for. Runs like an absolute dream.

compatible with mid 2012 macbook pro too. was over £100 around Xmas!

That's what I'm hoping for when mine arrives.

Must be tied to the price of oil.

Late 2013? Is that the first of the ultra thin ones without the CD drive?

It is ultra thin and has no cd drive. But if you click on system properties it will tell you what variant you have. The crucial site also has a zip you can download and it checks for compatibility for you if you aren't too sure.

Thanks! I have the the 27in model and would love to chuck some more ram in, even though it still runs way better and faster than any PC I have ever had!

I just purchased this last week... I've upped my MacBook Pro 15" (Jun-2012) to 16GB and combined with the Samsung EVO SSD that's in there it is absolutely flying! X)

will this be compatible with the 2015 macbook pro 13inch retina model?

There is a compatibility tool on the site that will tell you.

i believe the newer models stop you from upgrading memory and HDD yourself. that's one of the reasons I got an older model.

Well spotted, this was £130 ish when I checked around Christmas time - glad I held off now

Just what i needed
