Nice deal, but not quite so nice if you want any meals on board. Looks like that's where they make the money, but maybe that's the standard food price? I don't know.

I went last time when this was posted on mse it was the worst experience ever we were 18 hours late arrving home

an absolute nightmare:x

theres a big thread on mse about last time albiet not all bad, just my experience

A great deal, shame Newcastle is so far away from me.

sounds like a nightmare - stuck on a ship for 3 days arghh, thank god for ryanair

So don't eat in their expensive restaurants! They have other, cheaper, cafes etc. on the ships where you can get cheaper snacks. Just eat what you need, no need to prebook the expensive meals.

I've travelled DFDS a few times, always good experiences.

If it's anything like the Pride Of Bilbao the food prices are not as bad as you would imagine in the cheaper restaurants/bistro's.

So, assuming the ship arrives on time you get a whole 90 minutes in Norway for which you travel for 3 days ???

Used to use DFDS ships a lot a while back - until they got so bad that travelling in them became a punishment. Truly awful experiences with them. Never, ever, ever again!

I have booked to go on Sunday night so voted hot. It has cost me a tenner for the mini cruise for my son and myself. Better than sitting in watching the TV or a visit to the zoo during the school holidays plus I can get some duty free. I live in Glasgow so only a couple of hours away from Newcastle.

I was contemplating this, for £6, even with the £70 return flights to newcastle it seemed good, but spending 90minutes in Norway?

I worked it out to be about £300 for a 90minute trip to Norway, Good deal, but I live too far

Well I dont know why not as it is a really good deal. I am going on Sunday. Another country added to my already large list of countries I have been to. Plus get some duty free stuff as well.

Might book this

I went last month on the same trip.

Was great!

The buffet was expensive but I have to say one of the best meals I have ever had. Fresh fish all the meats you can imagine.

Rooms were ok really 4 beds Ac own bathroom with shower.

No complaints at all.

Trying to organise again.

How cheap is the duty free?

You could take your own food, then it would only cost the £6!

Anyone go this weekend just gone?

I think it's expired now.

i was tempted but 300 miles to newcy 4 me. nogo.

It would mean going to Newcastle.....Even a freeby isn't worth THAT.
