Very nice wine reduced from £9.99

Guardian review of he wine:

The nominal price of this crunchy, gooseberry-scented wine is £11.99, but it seems to be on a more or less permanent deal, which makes it a bargain. A classic sunshine white.

The Guardian review is for the 2008 and the Morrisons one is 2009. I doubt there is much difference though. I bought a bottle at the weekend to try and will be going back for more. I think the offer runs until about 20th September but can't remember exactly when it was - I just remember there was no rush to go back and get some.
had a bottle of this last night, good stuff
Good price for NZ savvy. voted hot
Just been in to Morrisons... this offer expires on the 26th September.
just seen the advert on tv, it says maximum of 6 cases
Just bought 2 x bottles and wish i hadnt, Dunno if i got a bad bottle , but the wine is rotten with vinegar aftertones
Got to agree with glyn , the bottle we opened tonight was ruined by the presence of sulphites , well in excess of 210mg/L-the EU max. As a home winemaker I'd guess that some tanks have spoiled in transit (Glyn) and they have overcompensated with sulphites to try and preserve the rest.
I've had the2008 (from the co-op) before which was fine but this is nasty , I'm glad I've only 2 bottles (well11/2)to take back ,not 6 cases.
I was trying to post a picture here but I can't work out how. Basically, I've had two bottles of this now. The first batch was lovely and the second was a nasty chemical syrup, as the last poster described. They were both SB 2009 BUT the dodgy batch had a slightly different label. Same typeface, same design, but if it says 'wine of New Zealand' on the bottom of the front label I think it's from the bad batch. I have six bottles of the latter to bring back - life's too short to drink that muck.
I bought this today £3.99 reduced from £9.99. It is good wine! I don't think the original price can be justified though. Villa Maria private bin at £8.99 is superior.
Thanks ptd29 , it wasnt just me then .Had the 2nd bottle and wasnt quite as bad but still was a bit sharp.. Wouldnt even pay £2.99 .. Wish i had gone for the Mcguigans for £4.49 which i personally like..
