wow mate this deal has took a kickin. dunno why cryorig do some good coolers. have some sympathy heat.
performs better than a cm 212 evo and it's cheaper
Cryorig are solid, some ex Thermalright employees iirc.
Performance of this is pretty damn good for it's size. Some tests show it ~= to a Hyper 212 Evo and some even beating it. Not bad at all for price & size.
great price. wish I waited 2 weeks as at the time the 212 evo was cheaper. have some heat op

Probably because its listed as an Intel cooler and everyone believes Ryzen is the second-coming ;0(

testified brother!!! or sister or whatever!! hallelujah.
yes there you go @ganon. never mind the haters. you got plus love in the end.
That's a slightly misleading description, this is a 125mm tall cooler, so it's not particularly small case friendly.

A good price for a mid-range medium-large cooler though.

125mm is very much a small TOWER cooler though
I got this last year for just under £14 and it does a good job in my X99 system. VFM!

Anything SuperFlower or Seasonic OEM.

You can find OEM list here: realhardtechx.com/ind…tml
And be sure to check jonnyguru review of any you're interested in.

There are other good ones too ofc but can't go wrong with the above.

A bit of an unknown as the 500 and 600 variant of the BQ are new, and unlike the 650BQ and 750 BQ which are built by HEC, the OEM for the 500BQ and 600BQ is Andyson who are generally not very good. Also being new, reviews & tear-downs are non-existant thus far.
The upside is EVGA are very good with warranties.
Personally though for what it's worth I'd probably look for something else. Admittedly the price range is a bit of tricky one but there's likely better out there.
What kind of system is it intended for?

For a very lower power consumption system like that I would definitely go for something lower wattage but higher quality. There are some 300 - 450W Seasonic & Superflower units I would definitely consider first. I'll have a quick look now 1 sec

I dont think flubit will bring it down too much.

I actually used a fractal psu for my cousins build and im certain the fan noise is coming from the psu so I'll skip that.

Yeah the Fractal doesn't have zero-rpm fan mode but generally the fans they use are reasonably quiet although not always silent so that's fair enough.
There's some modular coolermaster units in the same price range which are reasonable: G550M made by CWT ebuyer.com/584…-uk

I did see that earlier, cant remember where I read it but apparently not too quiet.

Worst case scenario if the evga is bad, I'll swap a be quiet 430 l8 I used on an older build which seems very quiet

The coolermaster ones are funny when it comes to sound level, it's the same with their VS series lots of places report them to be silent when in reality they are not at all. Maybe bad QC or they change the fans they use who knows.
It's a bit of minefield shopping for PSUs tbh, especially quiet ones X)
Either way I'm sure ebuyer and/or evga will have you covered so yeah don't sweat it
£32 now, expired.
id rather choose the 212 evo...4 copper heatpipes vs 3 nah im good
