Hi,

Had these leaflets dropped into work this morning for the CSSC scheme. It’s likely been on before, I think it covers the whole civil service but also says you can recommend 3 members that don’t need to be in the Civil Service.

My cohort are fairly new starters and most hadn’t heard of it so thought I’d list it. Ive used it for a few months now and it’s been handy for free entry to historical places and getting cash back on the weekly shop.

“ cash back on the weekly shop“. How
Hi, I was really interested in this after it was posted last time but felt like the website lacked detail. Would be so grateful if you could give any further info eg some examples of offers etc. Many

cracking setup.

So far I've had cashback for:

A year National Trust
A year of Beamish

Also if provides free entry to English heritage sites for 2 adults and 2 children.
We went to walkworth castle and they even refunded the parking!

Well worth the money

AFAIK the cashback on weekly shops is a prepaid giftcard affair whereby you get a disocunt when loading them. I've not seen any direct cashback offers.
It's worthwhile if visiting London. We have just had free entry for two adults and two children into the Tower of London. Kensington palace, Hampton court palace and Blenheim palace also available for free but we didn't have time to do any of these aswell.
English heritage and welsh heritage - 2 adults free and upto 6 children normally.
Free entry to 5 royal palaces for upto 4 adults.
Discount at most big attractions, sea life, wetlands centres.
They have some gym discounts, pre load gift cards for big stores circa 5-10%.

Any idea what the gym discounts are like, or which are included? Can only get to see those if a member.
Think the gyms are based on your location.

I'll stick with saying it's 2 children in case the missus sees the 6 or I'll end up takign all the nephews and nieces too lol

You get mygym discounts. 20% off bmf, 5/10% off pure gym, David Lloyd no joining fee and free 7 day trial, McDonald leisure no joining fee and 8% saving, Marriott 8%.

There’s also a multi gym pass for £20.99 a week that you can use lots of different places with one pass.
This looks great. Sadly I am unable to join . Seems great deal for those that are able to join up
Looking forward to Loughborough 2019
Also free tastecard!

Taste card
Been with this for years. Cheapo cinema tickets, my visits to English Heritage sites this year have basically paid for the years subs twice over.
I signed up for this after seeing it posted last time around... yesterday I visited Hampton court palace for free, and discovered an amazing children’s playground there! We’ve also visited the Tower of London, and bought discounted tickets for GoApe this summer. Along with the tastecard, we’ve saved a heap over the holidays. 😃

For those saying they can’t sign up, I signed up using my Hotmail address as it’s more convenient than my work one, I just had to select that I was a teacher but no proof was required.

Oh I am eligible. Woo hoo. A lot more jobs qualify. Will read a little more about offers but it looks excellent
Sounds good. Ill give it a go
This is a great deal if you can get it, highly recommend. The taste card and cinema tickets save me 30 quid a month on their own!

You can buy gift vouchers at a discount Tesco is 4% Asda 7%
Hi could anyone refer me please? Thanks
20% cashback on caffe nero giftcards.
Other than the Heritage sites lark, what are the shopping discounts and cashback on giftcards?

It all looks so grim, was it knocked up by a former trade union member... Free seeds, really? Scraping the barrel.

Most of those can easily be had if you know where to look and it not costing you £3.99 a month. COLD

You have missed the point. CSSC stands for Civil Service Sports Club and the promotion of sport is its primary objective including hosting of all sorts of regional and national events. The other stuff is a sideshow - but wow, what a sideshow
I am part of this through my work when I spotted a leaflet not much detail so I registered for more info and love it cheap cinema tickets family of 4 at the weekend around £20 which is really good as our local cinemas is over £30 at a weekend!!!) you can get tickets sent to you or e tickets to book online with a code (tickets are for inside and outside of London for those interested you just select the ones you like) cinemas include vue, cineworld, odeon, etc so lots of choice. Discount for days out including zoos, example twycross, Woburn ect someone mentioned the taste card already, I don’t really use the sports part and I am yet to use the free days out as not many near my area but I would really recommend this if you have children and don’t mind paying the charge a month (very small charge so if you don’t use one month your not kicking yourself for wasting money). I had a kids pass and would not recommend those for the fee they charge. Not sure my comment helps but I’ve had this over a year and I love it I’ve added heat too
How many of the discounts/freebies are only for the subscriber, and how many can be used for couples/families without them also needing their own subscription?

Also, with cinema, is it limited to 2D? Are they tickets for a set amount or a percentage off perhaps? Can you book online with a discount?

Hi how did you get into Blenheim palace as it is not one of the 5 palaces listed on their website please?
Bargain if you can join and live in London or near English heritage or the Welsh equivalent. 3 London attractions as mentioned, then as mentioned cashback on gift cards but mainly in shop rather than online
Mrs Got one of these .its paid for itself just with Heritage sites (Live round the corner from beeston castle) .Gym membership is a good saver as well (Brio leisure 25 a month i think) .Also saved a fair few quid on cinema tickets . well worth the money for us .
Received an email from CSSC today with a code for a 90 day discovery membership for MoveGB - another fantastic benefit which I wasn’t aware of. I only joined last month... this is proving to be the most productive 3.99 I’ve spent
Absolutely worth joining. I had no idea about this until it was posted last time on here. A mate says BBC staff are also eligible for this, but it's never mentioned by the Corporation, even on their own internal website.
If you're organised you will save £10+ a month in cashback just on your shopping. Tesco gift card 4% and Sainsbury's are 5% cashback I believe. I usually load (when I remember) £200 on Sainsbury's and £100 on Tesco = £14 cashback for a £4 outlay.

You can set up direct debits to load your cards on a certain date each month if that helps.

My friend saved a fortune on booking his holiday through Virgin. He loaded his gift card up with the cost of the holiday and got hundreds of pounds back.

Some examples of gift cards:
B and Q 8%
Asda 4%
Topshop 8%
Cafe Nero 10%
Clarks 10%
Costa 10%
CurrysPC World 9%
Debenhams 10%
GAP 10%
H Samuel 7%
Halfords 10%
John Lewis Waitrose 5%
MandS 7%
Pizza Express 10%
Pizza Hut 12%
Primark 5%

Can you explain the process behind supermarket cashback please?

And the same for your friend's Virgin thing, if you don't mind, please?
Any can send me a recommendation so I can join CSSC ?
Please, i will also be grateful for a recommendation to become a Linked Member. Will be great to take the wife and children to Stonehenge as the CSSC membership itself is less than the ticket price for the whole family.

Thanks in advance.

04/01/09 Update - I've been offered a referral already. Thanks again to that kind person.
