Cube Attain Race Disc road bike £699 @ CRC

Good price for last years model.

I have been looking for a commuter bike with disc brakes for a long time as I'm chewing through 4 brake blocks per month and a set of wheels every year, I have settled on the cube attain as it's a reputable endurance bike with good hardware.

All sizes currently available and Paypal 0% interest credit 12 months for £56/month is a good options for monthly payments too.

I commuted on a triban 540 for almost 4 years in all weathers and I only changed the brake pads once and that was when I upgraded the brake calipers.

The deal posters brake blocks must definitely be made out of cheese .

On a side note, I had some nasty shimano brake blocks in the past that would melt like icecream when it came to cycling in the rain.

::EDIT::

On a side note -- I own this bikes older/bigger brother, 2016 model Cube Attain Race GTC and it is an awesome bike. While some manufacturers might put all their money into the frame and pair it with cheaper components, Cube give you a quite a balanced all round bike. good frame with good components. My bike came with almost full ultegra groupset. The only thing that wasnt ultegra was the brakes but they were still pretty damn good compared to what was on my Triban.

3500 miles on shimano 105 brake blocks and still loads left in them 😝
Cracking deal. Want.
Must not buy.

(I get through a set of pads every 3 months/1000 miles, but I use swisstop bxps, rather have great brakes rather than long lasting but non stopping brakes!)
Ah. No. 28mm max, so add mudguards and probably 23s. No good for a winter commuter, the time when you really benefit from discs
Went for this thanks op and for the British cycling reminder too well chuffed
Must... Resist...

Nice one, have some heat.
Anyone know if this has internal cable routing?

Same frame specs (not material) as the Attain GTC Pro Disc, room for at least 31mm tyres, someone on bikeradar recently fitted CX tyres with clip-on mudguards (Cube official mudguards still not been re-released since the recall ~12 months ago).

Cracking spec for £700!

Ridley are also top quality but no hydraulic brakes with that model unfortunately.

I have already done both. Still can't work it out for definite.

I would say it does for the majority of the bike. The only bit that looks like external routing is from the underside of the Bottom Bracket to the Rear Derailleur along the underside of the Chainstay.

Maybe it’s all downhill

You obviously didn’t read the bit where it says internal cable routing then!

That would depend what you wish to use the bike for.
