I know this was posted for £215 earlier this week, but was still considering buying it for my 11 year old sons xmas. I was wondering if anyone knows if you are able to upgrade with an nvidia 750i graphics card as i might do this at a later date? On the last post someone said that they had but when i emailed them they said the case wouldn't hold one and recommended a different system for over £450 lol.

see discussion on graphics cards here hotukdeals.com/dea…639 it is the same case.

Basically I think it will accept a low profile card with a low profile bracket.

Dual core is not much good anymore for new games i.e. Far Cry 4 has a min spec of quad core. PSU will (probably)need upgrading to run a 750ti - and will the case even fit a 750ti in?!

PSU will be fine for a 750Ti as long as you can find a low profile version

That's what I was asking would it fit. Tbh he uses his xbox for gaming and mainly uses it for YouTube , browsing and smaller games like minecraft or rct3. Or does anyone have any other options for a computer at about the £250 price range?

Sounds like he wants a tablet/Ipad? Minecraft PE is great for smaller hands...

There's 2 on the overclockers site (a KFA2 and a Gigabyte one). I've a KFA2 one. Noisy but otherwise great

Does anyone know if it should fit? Someone else was asking me who had ordered one of these PCs

EDIT: Just saw the first post. Ignore question . Thanks

Not sure just looking for a small pc as that's what he want for his Xmas. The hdmi would be good as it would plug straight into his tv rather than getting him another monitor. If anyone has any other advice or options please feel free to post them and help out. Thanks.

according to cpubenchmark this gets 4014. A very good score. Faster than most i3s,and sits in the mid range i5 score. Very impressive.

This is an excellent PC for £230. Pcworld are knocking out computers with a quarter of this horsepower for £350.

I know it was £15 cheaper on friday but thats not really a breaking point for me. Thought it looked quite good value for the specs but was hoping i would be able to squeeze a graphics card in it for him.

You can mate, see all the above comments. You just need a low profile 750ti. It will fit and the power supply will power it. That will make this into a great little system.

Thats what i thought until i emailed them direct and they said i wouldnt fit a graphics card into the case, but after reading posts from a different deal looks like it will be ok.

Did they give a reason why?

No but did offer the alternative that didn't need upgraded got over 450. They just said Would not fit in case, but after reading other posts it seems that you can.

Sounds like they just wanted to get you to spend more : (

This one or the i3?

Does this one have a single 8gb or 2 x 4gb?

The i3 only has 4gb and no hdmi:

I dither too much and can't decide!!

Missed the £215 deal posted previously but still hot enough for me - thanks

Wow I didn't notice the MSI H81M-P33 motherboard didn't have HDMI. Thanks for that heads-up. Now to decide whether to replace the mobo or just get a low power passive gpu. I'm looking to build an always-on plex server + nas + games emulation box and this seems cheaper than actually building one (especially when you consider this has Windows)

The machine in this deal has:

Intel Pentium K Dual Core 3.2Ghz G3258
8GB ram
HDMI Port 1 x HDMI Port
VGA Port 1 x VGA Port

The i3 I refer to has:
Intel Core i3-4150 Dual Core (3.5GHz, 3MB Cache)
4GB ram
VGA Port 1 x VGA Port
DVI 1x DVI-D Out

There are 2 or 3 very similar looking machines at this price point. I picked the i3 and might pop a low profile GPU in it at a later date to gain hdmi, but, that is not important to me right now.

It's a pity they do not offer these minus win 8.

Exactly what psu is in this?
I cant find details of the model number to look for the oem or review all I can see is its "300 w".

If this is a low quality generic pos like they put in almost all ready built systems that "300w" wont be good for anywere near 300w.
750ti still gona put load on that psu. Hope it holds out.

the i3 in the same case has the description as 300w Elite PSU - this may be the same.

Should be ok power wise but as always it does depend on the quality of the PSU. eXtreme tools calculator recommends 237w PSU minimum for a system with these components plus a 750 Ti.
