Only £99 at laptopsdirect.co.uk UK based company not Chinese, therefore full guarantee and no customs issues
Heat for a decent spec phone with a replaceable battery but at 2800 mAh, I'd probably need three spares to get me through the day.

Having said that, none of the usual suspects seem to be selling any, so one would probably need to get them directly from Cubot.

Keep in mind they were caught shipping phones with malware and spyware preinstalled.

Best to run a virus scan

I bought this in Oct 17 even though I saw several warnings on here about malware, mainly @sam_of_london whose opinion is usually polar to mine.

4 months later the malware emerged and no matter what I did, nothing could get rid of it. It may well have been doing no harm but I worry about things like that. Flashed and reflashed with cubots firmware (no 3rd party available)
I know it wasn't from aftermarket dodgy apps because I didn't instal any. It only had Malwarebytes, Alexa, Hive and Amazon music

I thought I was £50 down but thought one last thing and I'll online chat with Amazon even though it was from a 3rd party seller. They refunded me without question after I told them it had malware in the operating system.

Anyway that's my experience with Cubot which ended this week.I certainly won't be buying another.
Please don't take my comment personally again Splice, this is my opinion of the Cubot Rainbow 2 phone and not you.

'Virus scans' on Android are useless. Android isn't made the same as windows, it's all sandboxed so malware scans can't do nearly as much as a windows antivirus.
Best idea? Don't buy malware filled phones.

I did go down that route briefly but found it more bulky to carry around in my pockets than a couple of batteries, which are already charged up and ready to use.

Yes but unfortunately finding malware and removing it are two different stories, since the offending files are usually system files.

Having said that, I was able to disable a couple of AdupsFota files on a Doogee X6 Pro using Debloater.

They might be on the play store, but it doesn't make them any less useless.
You can add oreo so makes a good deal
My mate had a Cubot and its very good so I been thinking about gettibng one for my daughter something like this. However in the last few days his has developed a frozen screen problem which nothign will shift including a reset. So he inquires about a repalcement screen and is told he can get one from China - shipped anytime between April and June! Not exactly practical then. I assume you cant get screen replacements in UK.
