thought it was another stuff at my first sight

Will have a look in my local tomorrow. Bought a new one a couple of weeks ago and looked into getting this but was price at about £16 at Leicester so bought the magican instead.

I saw them in Forest Town, Mansfield. No idea whether it's nationwide, hopefully someone can confirm

Women and their battery operated gadgets!!

Are these safe as a toy?

great price, they are £17.50 online

Bought one of these in Merthyr Tydfil the other day for this price. Not terribly impressed with the fit of the battery cover (maybe mine is just a dodgy one!) - took a long while to get it to click on properly. Good price though

These are not great and draining on batteries. Agree with above, cover falls off easily.

I bought one for my nan, and we think they are great. Well worth it for the senior age group that maybe suffer with the weaker wrist. I was very surprised at how much force these things can produce, when testing ours we tightened a jar up extra tight, my mrs could not open it ( I could of course! ) but this gadget opened it with ease. 10/10

Damn, thought this was the can opener, been waiting for it to drop to the £5 mark again for ages. Being a bit pedantic, but i think the OP pic may be the can opener - i may be wrong... Thanks anyway!

You were right, well spotted, changed now

i have had 5 of these they go wrong too easily, get stuck all the time and if they get stuck due to failing batteries and you have to open manually just pray its not a can of tuna or beans like it was with mine, god awful

get an elactric tin opener that you plug into the wall for £15

It`s a JAR OPENER why would I buy a tin opener?

Think you're getting jars confused with tins, dude. Completely different product.

i sell these and have never had one returned. great price

Got one for my sister for Christmas last year (Who after an accident has rgrettably lost most of the use of her right arm / wrist). Brilliant product, she uses it regulalry and it opens most jars. Also got her the matching tin opener (as mentioned above). Both have a few flaws and are not 100% perfect but imo are worth it for the right reasons and do a resonable job. Probably not worth a punt if you are just buying it to have as a gadget as it will no doubt end up in the back of the cupboard once the batteries have run down.

had 5 in total

2 jar and 3 tin all by these people

just to make it clear

These are rubbish for opening tins but useful for opening jars.

no need for a jar opener, if you tap the jar (near the neck of the jar) on a hard surface - it dislodges the air pocket and you will be able to easily pop the lid off, give it a try... I have been doing it for years and best of all tis FREE!!!!
