I used to live at Kirkby Stephen so know something about Appleby-in-Westmorland. Other attractions include Appleby Horse Fair (June), train ride (Settle to Carlistle) and nearby towns of Penrith, Kendal and Barnard Castle (they all have castles open to the public). Saturday is their market day and there's even a leisure centre (gym and swimming pools for babies/toddlers and adults). The small local library is round the corner from the church.

Appleby Castle is at top end of town and the street is uphill so take flat shoes! Go and enjoy
Strange... it's saying not yet available? I take that means it's sold out?

Pathetic really.

Pathetic really.

I also don't like staying in a room that has previously had wet dogs in. They stink and to be fair it rains quite a lot in Cumbria!
Good deal and hurrah - a place that welcomes dogs = heat
Nice one. I'll take the wife and the girlfriend

When you grow up you'll realise that your dad isn't always right.
