Our local (Corby) Home Bargains has Cuprinol Decking Oil in 2 colours - Natural and Natural Pine. Normally the cheapies are the weird colours like green or red.

This stuff is normally at least £15 and more like £20 in the highstreet DIY stores.

Typically I'd already bought mine for this year, but at this price I got a tin for next year!

They also have had other timbercare products at good prices for a few weeks now - e.g. garden furniture stain, £3.99, and fence treatments.

this is an absolute bargain!!! wish i had known this a few weeks ago!

have some heat, i can confirm this is at least £20, have used it in the past but with a severe winter the ice will take most of it off! (even with 3 coats!)

hi is the colour you have bought quite light or is an orange colour like in the picture? Thanks.

Nothing like the picture - i dont like the heavy coloured versions (the pre-printed tin is standard across the range, with a small colour sticker on the front)

The "Natural" colour is just that - practically clear. The "Natural Pine" has a hint of yellowing, but dries to a nice subtle tone, especially on aged decking (I bought the NP colour from Focus in the sale as Natural seems hard to come by - in fact I paid £21 and that was with a third off in their closing sale!).

HOT. hope it's in scunny I paid over £40 for 2 over a year ago and am ready for another coat or 2.. cheers OP

the oil is good never stain wood or decking its never the same after..

i could do with treating myself its my birthday

Great price it's nearly 30 quid at b&q

I got the 5 litre version of this from Screwfix, I can't remember whether it was £20 or £30 but this is still cheap. The natural pine gives decking a wonderfully 'old' look. Really easy to apply and more importantly reapply. As coolcraig says, oil rules, staining (or even worse painting!) decking is a bad idea.

Bargin they also had Sandolin also.

they've had a few different timbercare products recently (fence etc) but as far as I've seen, the others tended to be the heavily coloured versions.

£23.99 in Bolton and got her to scan it.

good deal, i found some in the bedworth branch about 6 weeks old & brought 10 tins of it
(do me for the next 10 years) the 5 litre tin at screwfix is £32, not as good as Ronseal Decking Oil but for that price you can't turn it down
Great deal & should be nationwide

Midway: £24 seriously? In home bargains? Can't be so, surely.

Foggy: I wish I'd got more actually, altho I've not got much decking so it'll last a couple of years. I've used ronseal and this, and to be honest can't pick between them. 1st coat from new was ronseal though, which may have helped later years?

If someone just recently bought this at full price and still have receipt you could buy this and return it and get your refund or sometimes even bank statements work if you lost your receipt.

Yes Seriously in the Bolton store I got the assistant to scan it to check. No Bargin in Home Bargins for me then.

I went to our local B&Q the other day, I'd only been in there a few moments, when some old fella dressed in orange approached me and said...

"Do you want decking?"

....fortunately, I managed to get the first punch in & that was the end of that, but let my story serve as a warning to others......be careful in B&Q.
