I don’t think this offer will last much longer as its been this price for over a month now, next cheapest ive seen is £9 at Homebase.

Available in 5 different shades. Autumn Gold, Woodland Green, Autumn Red, Rustic Brown, Rich Oak

Cuprinol Less Mess Shed & Fence Care has been specially developed to colour and protect sheds, fences and other rough sawn garden wood. This 5-litre tin provides a quick drying formula that ensures a rich colour and even coverage in just one coat.

Please note, you must ensure that all surfaces are clean and to remove and mould, lichen, algae or moss before applying.

In order to achieve the best finish, stir thoroughly before use and apply using a good quality loss-free brush and brush on evenly along the grain or Mr Miyagi won't be pleased.

The 5L tin of Less Mess Fence Care from Cuprinol covers up to 24m² with 1 coat or 8 fence panels

Hope it helps someone

Good one Gazz Heat added
Yes an excellent price - on asking around through I have gone for the Cuprinol ducks back which is £16 for 9L from b&q at the moment - this will hopefully mean I don't have to touch my fence for another 5 years then
Nice find Gazz, heat added

Good luck
Reminds me that my fence needs doing gazz, heat added on a great price
Thanks for this
Can this be used in the sprayer does anyone know?
nice one gazz
Thanks op just had a new gate so just what I need

Not sure why putting paint on exterior wood is so popular. Looks good fir a couple of months and then it starts peeling off making it much harder to prep for the next treatment.

The only fence paints that weather gracefully are made by premium brands such as Bedec, Sadolin and Owatrol but they cost upwards of £10/l. I think wood preservers that sink in and stain the wood are better as they just fade with age rather than crack and peel.

Based on comments made in previous deals here, it probably won't last anywhere near 5 years.

I'm in my first home so this is probably an idiot question. Is creosote still any good? Seem to remember that evil smelling stuff coming out every few years when growing up!

Creosote is no longer available to the general public as it's been banned. Only certain professional trades are allowed to use it. Used to like the smell of it too...

Yes it is but it is harder to get it nowadays as it is only meant to be sold to pros. CreoCote can be bought from wickes but apparently it fades quickly and may need yearly treatment. Also it stinks for days if not weeks so you and your neighbours wouldn't want to open your windows. I decided against using it as it is not easy to switch products if you don't like it. Normal treatments don't stick to Creocote as it is oily and you will need the more expensive stuff I mentioned above.

Opinions about Creocote are split and I've never seen any pictures of before and after photos of fences painted with the stuff. Some people say it lasts, otherrs apply it every year.
Thank you
Forest green my favorite! wasnt my neighbours favorite when his jag was parked other side of my fence. oO

After spending 5 hours painting 4 fence panels at the weekend, granted they look really good but considering you need to redo them every 2-3 years you have to wonder if painting your fences is just a ruse.

If you buy good quality fences from a timber yard, that are treated then they weather naturally. But, if you prefer a painted look then it's a good deal, I bought last year for a similar price but how worth the effort and the outlay is it really because you are suckered into making a purchase every couple of years or else it looks a bit tatty?

I originally looked into sourcing some original creosote but in the end opted for the dark Creocote as it was difficult to get hold of. Put Creocote on my fence panels (1 coat) and decking (2 coats) last year at the start of the summer and it still looks as good as new now. Barely faded at all (10%). Granted it smells for a couple of days, but after that it's all good. It's oil based so really penetrates the wood grain rather than just a coat that sits on top. In my experience, these 'fence care' paints eventually peel off leaving things looking patchy, although obviously you get a choice of colours. Heat for the price though!
in case it helps someone else.. cuprinol have two greens, in their ducksback range its forest green, in this less mess range its woodland green and they are different shades.
I've found that quality up Cuprinol seems to have dropped over the last couple of years. Even if giving fences 2 coats, it seems to fade and require recoating after a year

Hmmm I'm tempted again. Could you attach a pic? Have no idea what it might look like. I assume fences are still oily and don't absorb water?

Anyone know when this deal finishes?

Just bought three tins although didn't remember to check the price as had a bit of an incident, in that I put them on the handles of my kids buggy and it fell backwards. In a rush to leave the shop I didn't clock that I paid £10 a tin, it definitely showed as £5 ea in store. But receipt showing as £10 ea.

Website showing as £10 but wasn't sure if it was in store only.

P.s. My child was not hurt in the process.

Ok thanks for the quick response, won't have any opportunity to do so tomorrow. Will have to do in my lunch break on Monday, just hassle carrying the containers around as they aren't small.
