Be quick! AliExpress deals always get pulled because they don't pay HUKD commission on click throughs..

Sorry I meant, it's because they can't "verify the seller."
54mm case, may as well strap a plate to your wrist! 38594776-8WaFB.jpg

Gosh
I like it
Bargain!
I like it, what colour do I go for.

Does look like curren watches sold on Amazon for around 12 to 15 quid

All Curren watches are good price - but I wouldn't call them "Luxury" or a "Top Brand". Nice design though.
Hi mate , what's that watch on your hand ?
It's a luxury CURREN 😁
Nice looking watch for very little dosh, just be sure to check the size cos some of these curren watches are oversized like diesel watches.
I bought one of these cheap military style watches once

I did, then I broke my hand... True story
Buy nice buy twice. I've bought two watches from Ali Express, both cheap garbage. Be warned fine if you know they won't last two minutes.

Got one for under £12 as there is a £2.48 coupon you can collect on the same page

Was that a Curren two minutes or another brand? :-)

Bought a current and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was awful. Also bought a sunto copy, the bezzel was supposed to rotate it was glued in place. Resin strap snapped within 3months.

Like I say if your expectations aren't high then no problem, but don't be fooled that you're getting a quality watch.

No. A £13 watch isn't going to be "Luxury" or "Top Brand". Thanks for this...

Yes because everything made in China is crap and sold by "scammy Chinese sellers" yes?

Possibly you're a closet racist who grew up in the 70's.

I buy quite a bit of RC stuff from Ali Express and the quality, without exception, has been fantastic, as the reviews with photos show.

e.g. Want some full aluminium CNC machined axles for your model truck? No problem.

C'mon - be reasonable! How did you manage to connect this comment with racism?
Maybe it's just the experience talking. He might have had few bad experiences in the beginning, or a very unsuccessful warranty case behind him... I know few people who share the opinion for exactly the reason.
I'd agree, if you called him thoughtless, as one should do a proper reckon before buying from Chinese shops, just to know what to expect and ditch expectations o good post-sale service, but calling it racism sounds a bit too much.
MrSwitch03/10/2019 05:06

Yeah!

... Or was s your second hand? (see what I did there?... Oh suit yourself!)
I can't comment on this one but not ALL Chinese watches are crapola. The Watchuseek Aliexpress thread is a great one to follow, and there's more discussion about Autos but there are Quartz watches mentioned as well.

As for personal experience, the Guanqin GJ16106 is/was an awesome watch, well-made, all stainless steel, looked good and I wore mine (Blue dial, with mesh stainless strap) with pride. However this dum-dum managed to drop it onto a glass weighing scale from a great height and gimped the movement. It kept really great time, too, even though it was a Hangzhou (Automatic) movement - which has a power reserve indicator. Lots of discussion about it on the watch forums. It cost me just over £30 during the 11.11 sale (iirc) and I'd say it's a bargain for that price - but they're getting harder to find.

The Nakzen Pagoda (Quartz) got a bit of hype too, but to be honest, I was disappointed in it. They brought out a batch that didn't have the Sapphire Crystal as advertised all over Ali/ebay/Youtube reviews, which I received (though Nakzen seem to have reverted back to the original versions of this watch*) and I thought it felt and looked rather cheap in reality - the crystal is plastic (even though others say it's Sapphire, it's not) and even adjusting the time felt a bit shonky. I was ignored on WUS when I posted a critical comment about it.

Be aware some cheaper Chinese watches state they have "Alloy" cases and backs which go green/rusty etc with sweat over time and are not great for those with allergies.

*Some Chinese sellers have the annoying trait of changing specifications without informing the buyer - this seems to be true for electronics, etc as well. So this could be where some of the (justified) lack of faith in Chinese products stems from.

Not that I have great historical knowledge about countries and their technological prowess, but it wasn't all that long ago that Made In Japan goods were viewed as being second-rate!

Come on, you gotta get the back to the future reference! Haha.

I know Japanese stuff is great and in the past people thought differently.

Yeah I've got a Starking Am0184 which keeps great time(it's an auto) looks expensive and makes a change from my much heavier Skx007.
Highly recommend

Thanks for your post. It was enlightening. To correct you though I am far from racist, originating from an immigrant family we are more than multi culturist in our household.

But staying on point, gearbest, ali, amazon all sell cheap CHINESE tat. I know, i was part of the cash for reviews scandal. I t have bought lots independently though like monitors and fans and earphones and other gubbins and they are trash items that break easy.

I am more than aware of the origin of 99% of our larger household items. And there is a major difference from being made in the east to being bought in the uk such as comeback, chargeback etc

I am happy you have found such exquisite RC parts. Long may they last.

The majority of cheap chinese trash is throwaway and polluting the plant.

Fair enough, I was sitting on a train when I replied. I am actually reasonably geeky as an ex-comics collector in my youth
