Does it state with added water? If not I would imagine there will be very little difference.

I suppose you are waiting for the "hot just for the effort" comments. I normally have a browse through the farm foods leaflet whilst I'm on the cr@pper. Its much better than your post as there are pictures of the tasty food for me to look at. But don't worry I will sort that out for you

Pretty sure these are 82-83% chicken, the rest is water/additives, so subtract about 18%. Just over 800g per Kilo bag. I use them every week, and mostly they are absolutely fine, although I never defrost and try to fry/seal them when making a curry, as they are still fairly watery for that. I boil them for 5 minutes, so they are still undercooked, and then use them in my curry, as most of the water and additives have boiled off. Still good value at 3 Kilos for a tenner, even with the wastage.

the turkey dinosaurs and mini kievs are both a pound in Morrison's!

I was sucked into my local with the bargain prices, but don't be fooled, all the food is truely aweful, stay well clear!

find the staff in cowbridge road cardiff very very slow on the tills also large queues in there shops sometimes 1 slow member of staff
on 1 till the rest of tills unmanned with large queues in shop, have seen many people drop there laden baskets and walk out due to slow tills done this myself many times

Can't say I'm a fan of their meat but I do get my bog roll from them, when I remember.

wow! save yourself and the low paid staff time by shopping elsewhere. They may be quicker once they stop replenishing the shelves with 'nearly bought shopping'.
On a serious note though, milk, eggs, bogroll & now fresh chicken in my local, are all cheap as chips & hard to beat.

Dead lamb is also hard to bleat! Babum!

I LOVE FARMFOODS. ITS CHEAP AND GREAT

the bags of veg,3 for £2 are great

Kerrymaid butter 1kg for a quid.....top of the shop offer

So we know Farmfoods is cheap. And a lot of the own brand ready meal stuff is not nice, it's gristly etc. However, they DO do decent frozen and fresh food too. It's a fantastic place to be able to afford to buy meat, milk, bread, cheese, butter etc on a limited budget. Foodstuffs that are hard to afford otherwise. Their 3 for £10 offers are fantastic now that they are mix and match. You can get a large chicken, eight lamb loin chops and a kilo of chicken breasts or four salmon steaks, for £10. They also sell frozen branded food which is double the price in Tesco for example. They're not pretending to be posh or free range or organic, they are what they are, and a lot of people are thankful for it.

Farmfoods Easy Lamb Loin Chops recipe

Preheat oven to about 175c or 160 fan oven.
Put about a litre of boiling water into a casserole dish.
Add three lamb stock cubes and two good dessertspoons of mint sauce in (Tesco Value will do) and stir well.
Drop the eight lamb chops (still frozen) from the pack into the stock. Make sure liquid covers chops. Put lid on.
Cook in oven for two hours.
Remove, add two teaspoons cornflour mixed with a spot of cold water, into the dish and stir carefully to thicken.
If desired, add chunks of raw carrot and potato, 70 mins into cooking time.

Wallah! Farmfoods lamb chop casserole, yum yum!

if shops cant man the tills when they have queue,s of customers thats there loss in these times of economic misery, then they dont deserve peoples,s custom,
Also if they manned the tills they wont have to restock the shelves from customers who left the baskets and trolleys in the shop and walked out

probably turned a few readers into vegetarians
agree with above comments ..no matter how you cook meat bought from there it isn't of quality to begin with.. but if you don't know any different then it's a bargain!
If you like your food deep fried and own a huge freezer this shop then real savings can be made here - if you prefer local, fresh, quality food go elsewhere.

On the pack it says to cook from frozen. I use these all the time and you get approx 5 large chicken breast fillets in them. Wrap them in foil and bake for 50 mins.

i used to hate farm foods the quality was terrible no matter how you cooked it
then last year i met a farmfoods manager, she said the quality and value for money had greatly improved
so i gave it a try and i must say its miles better and great special offers, I now shop in farmfoods weekly and love the food
and all the specials, the tills maybe slow but customers are now very impatient. Get a life get a bargain
Thanks for all the great food and everything else you stock
