Dixons are selling the current iMAC 21.5 inch for £891 through their airport store (Edinburgh) - most likely countrywise.
Perhaps not for everyone but if you are travelling a good discount on
the current RRP of £999 and cheaper than Apple refurbs.

Call them up and reserve for collection.

2.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
1920 x 1080 resolution
4GB (two 2GB) memory

AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 512MB

Aluminium apple keyboard (wireless)

Subject needs correcting, it's i5.

Do you have to take it on holiday with you then?:|

How much? Do you even known what beast of a system you could build with just half of that price? It's insane that refurbished ones sell for even more.

If you are travelling within the EU, then usually Dixons will keep it at the airport goods collect counter for you to pick it up on your return. If not, then Dixons will deliver for about a fiver.

True, if you are prepared to put up with a beast of a racket or spend the necessary extra dampening down the noise. You need to compare the cost of this to other All-In-Ones and Apple does very well on that. I am not a fan of this form factor, but the truth is that there is a growing market for this type of thing.

See the review of All-In-Ones in the current edition of PC Advisor. They liked this model more than the competition.

~£900 for a 21.5" screen

Good deal for an excellent machine. You're not just paying for the parts but the build quality too which is excellent. The aftercare too is the best I've had in the industry.

Its a good deal, I got a new IMAC from Apple 2 weeks ago, with the Lion OS pre-installed also with the Applecare warranty for £925.20, I asked the guy on the phone if there was any discounts, and he came back to me with this price. Cracker of a deal...IMHO
