Apart from the two mentioned in the thread description (opening post); although these are not advertised explicitly at the merchant's web site yet.

Likewise, though it's already cheaper at £1000 than anywhere else.

Which laptop - Y70? UHD?

Do you reckon the Currys £100 Cashback will still be available on this macbook if bought at 7pm today?

Although to be fair, Macs have trackpads that actually work which is quite useful !!

I remember when they used to have at least a dozen headline items. This looks poor - old ipad mini on sale at £20 more than it was available before xmas.

Currys? What a fraud. Just buy from John Lewis much better customer service. Unlike other retailers, at currys you can't return a product easily if its faulty or if it's not up to your satisfaction.

Yes you can, and either you don't know what 'fraud' is or are being needlessly libellous.

Depends on the store manager in my experience. I've had great customer service in some, but in one when I tried to return something that had a missing part I was basically told I'd robbed it and was trying to pull a fast one. Manager was incredibly rude.

@SampleX
I am not here to argue on what is fraud and what is not. It my opinion based on a few instances where I caught them for lying. I am not going in to details now.

@Morpheus

Agreed.
I have a few instances at different stores of theirs and had to go through the fuss. On the other had I had great experience at other retailers - don't want to mention names as it may sound I am here to promote them.

Hoping for a decent tablet deal, none of that apple crap though.

Any large TVs?????

That offer ends today, whether it will carry on afterwards or not I don't know (I work at Curry's PC World)

How's this getting hot, its an advert for their sale, no prices have been announced.

John Lewis service far exceeds Currys; so from my view Currys would need to sell for significantly less to make it worthwhile purchasing or have stock availability when JL doesn't.....

Just updated - LG 55UB820V Smart 4k Ultra HD 55" LED TV for £799 but don't know if it's your cup of tea

The MacBook Air seems to be only £929 in the Apple Store not £1049. Still good if you get the £100 cashback and reading the T&C I can see no reason why you won't. Assuming purchase online this evening.

If you can get yourself down to Tottenham court road, London, some of the laptop shops along that road are selling the y70's for £899 already. I'm not in London over xmas otherwise I would have cycled over to get a picture/more deets.

Fraud is not the same as 'caught them lying.' A libellous objective assertion was made without justification. That's all. The rest is hyperbole, nonsense and personal anecdotes. The charge of fraud is a serious one that you're apparently unable to back up.

On most everything that John Lewis sells their prices are far in excess of the cheapest competitor. Since their goods are the same goods, I should certainly hope they're doing something outstanding to justify their premium prices.

I was told yesterday in store that if you buy something and it goes down in the sale, they will refund the difference providing it's within 7 days of original purchase
