Yeah that’s the spirit, and then all 700 stores will sit empty with millions of staff out of a job all because they refused to return your toaster!

All highly affordable for Amazon since they pay pretty much no tax in the UK, and of course no physical stores. Since they employ people here and bring so much to the economy they figure the funnelling of profits to subsidiaries is overlooked.

Amazon made £10.9 billion in UK revenue last year, £220m paid in tax.
I think I’m correct in saying the vast majority of the items listed here have been available cheaper elsewhere recently.
Surely the Apple Watch 5 for £330 from very sounds better

Assume the 44mm Apple watches will be cheaper too
The only bundle for the smart plug I can see is with the old google home mini. Is that what you mean, as the link took the bundle posted its broken.

Ok, I'll check tomorrow. Thanks.

Surely wait for a pixel 4a now. Likely do it bundled with a Chromebook again.
That’s only £30 off the Apple watches. I’ll wait till Black Friday and hopefully they will be cheaper elsewhere
Apple Watch prices are in line with the official Apple refurb website. Refurb or brand new, you takes your choice.
Nothing special here

I wish they had the Pixel 3 XL or 4 XL on offer too...
Sorry voted cold in error

Their 15% cashback on TCB was much better deal...

Nothing special here

I will be surprised if anyone finds something really special on black friday. It's not happening anymore, it's just a hype. Ebay done 20% off so I went for a golf club that I was waiting for for ages. Code reduced the price but they added extra delivery charge to an item so price is still the same. Robbing ba..rds

Firstly they don't have millions of staff and even if they had they would find a way of hiding from customers until they felt like misrepresenting something.

Actually if you had ever dealt with them when they get things wrong (which is often) you would agree, they bully and lie to customers and entirely misrepresent a customers rights, and that is from the small percentage who have a clue

Well over a month to get them to deal with a faulty XBox One (and they told me that their extended warranty process is entirely arbitrary and they do not have to honor the terms and conditions.)

In the end it took trading standards and a solicitor to get them to do their jobs

They were also full on abusive to my wife when she bought a kettle and it was the wrong colour (different to the colour marked on the box)
Google Hello at £149 - bought!
Can we stop posting these non deals
Quite great deal for Apple Watches

Absolutely Agree about how sh##te they are actually are. Would never buy from these guys. Would prefer JL or anyone else. The customer service is shocking. They do lie and bulls**t customers , and would never buy from them. Then businesses like this wonder when sales are down. Are you surprised?

Not really, for £30 more you can get the Series 5 from Very.

judging from the replies to your comment it seems as if your Christmas Wish for "Currys/Carphone to go under" has gone down like a bucket of cold sick - next time you might want to try to be a bit more positive and constructive towards the posts on HUKD.

Understandable. They are pretty much expected to know the ins and outs of thousands of different products and from what I gather, all for minimum wage.

Welcome to Black Friday!
Apple Watch 5 non cellular - where’s best price?
I world for Currys for many years. Their prices are not great compared to others. Their accessories and services are heavy pushed but are very expensive. I very rarely buy anything from there.

Tbh.. that's not a terrible price.. BUT is it not a lot less of a phone than the ordinary Pixel 3? Or is the 3a and the 3XL the only options?

Got this Nokia 8 I'm holding in my hand for a B.F. deal off everyone's favourite tax dodgers.. I'd likely happily get the 3a if this wasn't already an awesome phone!!!

Just one of the reasons (the other being extremely poor working conditions and unrealistic demands placed on staff), I’m not renewing prime and moving away from amazon to other alternatives. Obviously I’ll still use them if nobody else can provide said good for the same price etc.

Black Friday is a fad. It’s a fad everywhere outside America where it appears discounts are genuine. Rarely do we get anything other than price increases before discounts applied, to which the price is “discounted” to the presale price in the UK.

They’re genuine bargains from time to time though.
