I'll take 10
You would have to wonder if it was really worth 12k in the first place. I don't think so, in fact I don't think it's worth 4k let alone 8k
No. It was £19,999 !!!
60% off sounds like better way of saying it. But omg £8k for a telly.
you'd just wait a few more years, wouldn't you?It won't be long before a 77" TV is under the £2k mark.
Bought, but is still too small.
This size of TV are just not selling at these inflated prices. Probably due to the fact that projectors are becoming so much more desirable and practical at a fraction of the cost. As someone stated 2K-3K is a more realistic figure.
Great find op just what I needed....
Some lucky rich ******* is going to get a good deal

doubt it, for an OLED anyway. some low end LCD maybe
I was actually thinking of purchasing the wallpaper version 😳
be aware of burn in before getting a OLED, it's real and it happened to me get a LED or wait for samsungs new tech
'Currys' and '£8k' in the same sentence, you would have to be insane!

I think if I was splashing out £8k on home cinema I would pick up a 55" OLED TV, a 4k projector (Optima UHD65) an electric screen, a surround sound system a PS4 Pro and an Xbox one x and a 4k sky sub and still have some change left.
Good deal!!
There was a 75 inch 4k Samsung smart TV on here for £1600 recently so this is crazy price

The LG is class leading reference level, the Samsung is proper crap
There's always posters saying give it a few years these will be under 2 grand, there's other sets similar in size and 4K on here cheaper or get a projector. The fact of the matter is LG have themselves said 77" sets will remain very expensive for some years. Other large TV's (LCD) are not as good overall in picture quality (check out any reviews they all say the same) and the top tier LCD sets are simply not going for around 2 grand anyway. Projectors are great in dedicated rooms, however, for most 77" is more than enough in size and again better PQ overall and far more user friendly in all light and room settings with an OLED.
All being said, that price is nothing new as other stores have it at that and it's been on offer periodically at it. And it's possible the new variant of LG's C8 may be of a similar price if the initial German prices are anything to go by. LG is in it's early stages with its latest plant that is supposed to be specifically designed for bigger size yields and will 'in time' see sets come down in price. But again, take a look at other large size, top tier TV prices and it's obvious they aren't going to cost 2 grand ever more's the like - unless all TV's see a demand/price crash for some weird reason.
I used to sell plasmas when they came out. Fujitsu and pioneer. 50” pioneer in 2002 was £12k. The Fujitsu was 1024 x 768 resolution with no HD material. Used off board scalers at £2k on top. We sold them. Makes you cry thinking back. Now things are a little better. But these days people spend max a grand.
Ordered one for the toilet under the stairs!
