Looking for the best deal on one of these.
Am I right in assuming John Lewis will price match , including their 5yr warranty?

Thanks for posting, have added a pic for you
Not very often you want something to be higher in price, but it's a shame they're not selling it for £51 more. Would qualify for 15% off.
Think john Lewis will take into account the price of currys 5 year service on top, as they have adjusted their t&c to include a competitors warranty too before they match. Tho technically the currys service covers more such as accidents and has a set time span on repair or replacement, many will still choose jl if the price difference isn't much.
Didn't you get 5 years warranty from Sharp if you purchased instore? Or has that deal sailed?
if you take the package with the HDMI cable for £1011.99 you can use the code for 15% off (tv1000) making the total price £860.19.

Just add a wall mount and they will take off the 15% I had it around the £887 mark

Win / win: Great telly at a super price, and Curry's might finally shift some of their £50 HMDI cables
add the wall mount and use code tv1000 to get it down to £883.99, quidco is 1.5% also
5ft of led television for the £850 mark. Thats pretty incredible.HOT
Hmm, i just tried adding it with the wall mount, then used code tv1500, gives you 20% off making it £831.99
But i wont be getting it because lloyds wont authorise it.

I bought this from Comet for £872.49 after quidco a few weeks back, it is a great TV , TV1500 does seem to work but I wonder if currys will honour the glitch?

Dont be harsh!

A) Its £949 normal price
B) Add TV1500 code
C) Its Currys, not comet

Lets just hope they honour the sale.

I tried my card frantically about 4 times, hope i dont end up with 4 of them!
Tempted to buy a couple at £759, then ebay one.

Nice spot on the TV1500
Not sure about the Sharp 5 year warranty....from their website...

"Your Sharp participating retailer must stamp or sign the claim form to verify that you have seen a Sharp Aquos television demonstration within their store and that you have purchased a qualifying product directly after that demonstration. Only purchases made in-store and at the time of the demonstration qualify".

Anyone know if this is strictly true?

Just buy from John Lewis for 999 and 5 year warranty

From reading the terms and conditions, the retailer must stamp a form that you have to submit to get the 5 year free warranty. No chance you can get it form buying online also.
really nice TV but slim chance of being honoured for £759

See a demonstration in store today of a qualifying Sharp Aquos HD ready 1080p LCD television and qualify for a FREE 5 Year Warranty, should you purchase a qualifying product in that store on that day.

Its not a misprice and its not even a massive discount either so I would be surprised if they cancelled.
I would have one if it wasnt for the fact my mrs would kill me.

Due to not having a measuring tape I have been lying for years about TV sizes. She still thinks our current 46 inch TV is only a 32 inch.

Trying to persuade her this one is a 36 inch wont work as at 5ft it will be bigger than her and I think at that point she will click.
I can verify that you DO need to purchase the television instore, and after a demonstration, to qualify for a 5 year warranty from Sharp. Retailers were actually supplied forms from Sharp that both the retailer and customer sign and send off after the demo and purchase.
Order is in......will wait and see if Curry's honour the deal for £759!!!!!!! If they do, it's a cracking deal for a branded 60" TV!!!!!
