Hot, £100 cheaper than 4 years ago and can collect in store.
hotukdeals.com/dea…511

There may be a way to get this for less (approx £330) or the 5400 which I've now decided on, for £261 by doing the below. Not sure if it'll work, but worth a try if you can do and happy with the risk of it going out of stock while you receive your gift card. I'll report whether it's fine to use the gift card and discount voucher at same time, no reason why it shouldn't be ok.

Price of 5400 model £299.99
Less £25 o2 priority moments voucher
Balance £274.99. So buy £275 giftcard from Topcashback giftcards which gives 5% cashback at the moment.
Total = £261.25 (I'm also going to try to reserve through TCB to see if I get the extra 1.57% too)

Aha. That makes sense. I got that from a part in the previous thread which was expired.
Those additional settings are on my machine but i guess there could be upgrades on the 5400.
Enjoy whichever you get!

Thanks, that's helpful.

The 5500 looks good to me as I like the automated jug (so to speak). Still a lot of spondoolies. My finger is hoovering over that 'Reserve Now' button.

Its pretty simple, they install and sign into the O2 Priority Moments app. This then has a list of deals, they select the Currys 50 quid off 750 or more one and it gives a code. You then give the guy on the till that code - he punches it in at the checkout and the till automatically drops 50 quid off the price of the tele. I borrowed my mates phone, but you could probably just get the code and write it down or take a screen shot of his phone and email it to yours or something. Just remember to buy some batteries or something cheap to get the TV over the 750 mark as you wont get the discount at 749.99

Is the 02 code still available please? and when will that expire??

I think the people that have voted cold, don't understand that by paying for quality they will save money in the long run. Miele usually come near the top of the which ratings on all products.

Just checked miele site you can pay the extra £50 to extend the guarantee on this model so for just under £200 you have a great Hoover guaranteed for 10 years :-)

I've got a miele cat and dog it has a ten year guarantee it's an amazing Hoover great price heat added

I bought one of these earlier this year after swearing I would never use anything but a Dyson! This is a great price for a fantastic product - I would not go back to a Dyson and can see how Miele win so many awards. I have 5 dogs and never used this at full power, you can also pick up compatible bags very cheap - these last me about 3-4 weeks. I had to empty my Dyson after each use.

This is a great price. Got one them and its brilliant, much better that dyson I've had before. Dont understand why people are voting it cold.

Thanks for that, I have no ida what the various ranges of TV are and I find it difficult to determione the difference between models. All I really want is a reasonably good TV with above average sound ( for a flatscreen I mean) with maybe smart features at a push but not necessarily 3d.
My 6 year old samsung is fine, the image is getting a bit dark now but the sound is certainly bearable unlike mum-in-law's samsung panel that she got 2 or 3 years ago. It sounds incrediblt tinny, regardless of how the sound is tweaked. We do have an amped 7.1 surround system but we can really use that when the kids are in bed so evening viewing is limited to in-built speakers.

Looks a good deal at £179. Can anyone point me to how to get for £179 pls?

I just picked this up today, good machine. It managed to fit into a small hatchback car and it's easy to lift with 2 people. Very quiet when it runs and it looks like a nice machine. Similar beko 7kg's were around £300 in store.

My old Hoover machine decided to spit out oil after 3 years of use from the gearbox/gears by the looks of it. Would cut out half way through spin and would not drain. The pcb also broke in half.

I hope this will survive atleast 5 years with little issues.

Nipped into Currys to view and it looks well made and great value.
I was debating whether to go for this Beko or a more expensive Bosch from J Lewis.
After reading extensive reviews I plumped the Beko.
Main reason's:- £120 less expensive and quieter operation (important to me), also the reliability would appear to be better on this model than today's Bosch machines.
I hope it all works out to the good.

bonzobanana

Some Bosch's are made in Turkey possibly by Arcelik (Beko).

We ordered this yesterday, after hunting round for to replace our old 1000rpm Zanussi!
We have a beko fridge/freezer which we have had for a few years now and had no issues with it at all.

We saw the model above this in Currys before xmas, was the 1500rpm model, and looks decent build, and that was £229 or £249

The quick wash on this i believe is 28 mins as well, which is good.

Free Delivery (ours coming on 2nd Jan) and dispose of your old machine included, cant grumble.

Have you wondered how long you could sit in there sales training without … Have you wondered how long you could sit in there sales training without saying something, do they earn there coin on these addons?

been there done that. worked at a Currys Digtial (branch 0194, now closed). went on the 3 day Fives training and the first 2 days were just around use of positive language and other psychobabble. Though they had an exercise which was supposed to represent smashing your sales targets, not just hitting them. It was breaking a board of wood, karate style. it was stopped when someone in Birmingham apparently broke their wrist and they tried to get us to mime it. I refused seeing as I had been a martial artist for around 10 years at that point as i found it offensive to martial artists. was told to sit down and shut up.
on the third day we had to endure all this crap from Belkin re:HDMI cables. myself and a lad from the Durham store had both come from PC repair backgrounds and had found ourselves taking jobs with 'the enemy' due to being made redundant. We both argued that all this stuff the trainer and Belkin rep was spouting was utter rubbish and the most important thing with an HDMI cable is the 2 devices either side both supporting the same thing, like audio return channel etc.
I was again told to sit down and shut up as this was 'bread and butter'.
the markup on these cables is almost pure profit, but its to offset the tiny margins made on the TVs. Glad I never worked in the TV dept but I did have to sell a few. Once got overheard not even mentioning the cables availability to a customer by the manager (he knew my stance on them) but i was quickly reminded that is a KPI and its my job to mention it. I was given something called an EEC behavioural form stating that i had failed to mention a KPI when talking to a customer and i would be kept under observation by sales team leader.
there was no commission, back then it had just been gotten rid of. Bonus was paid on the store and the team hitting targets.
now its paid on customer satisfaction surveys.
make of that, what you will.
i miss the team i worked with, all a bunch of characters. some of them went on to bigger or further away stores when the branch closed in 2011. mainly management

later found out that the company no longer sold belkin cables and the chap who had ran the training had so many complaints made against him that he had been removed as a trainer. He later left the company altogether.
