Scan anything in a snap.
Easily capture forms, notes, and multi-page reports. Go beyond scanning documents to scanning receipts, business cards — even whiteboard discussions. Powered by Adobe Sensei, Adobe Scan automatically detects borders, removes shadows, and converts printed text to digital in seconds. Harness more PDF power.
Open the scanned PDF in Acrobat Reader to make notes and comments, share with your team, even send for signature. Open it in Acrobat Pro DC to make edits, combine multiple files, and convert to a Microsoft Office format. Scan business cards. Find documents in photos.

How does it compare to Office Lens …How does it compare to Office Lens please?https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.officelens

Haven’t used this, but I prefer CamScanner to office lens. Find the photos/scans come out better.
I just use google drive, it does a great job, just isn't well advertised
Adobe scan is pretty good from my experience, I was impressed with the OCR aspect. The downside is your data being uploaded to Adobe servers. Their track record on security is poor to say the least.

Nice. Is it a case of just taking a photo and auto saving then arranging in folders?

Office lens (alway free and developed by better and more trustful company - Microsoft) much better as you will be able to save in more formats and store directly to one drive - windows 10 is integrated with that service and your pic or doc automatically appear on computer.
Is this any good for scanning ancient books to upload to torrent sites? I.e. does it cater for (dunno the technical term) skew and ripples on the pages?

inb4, no I don't mean vintage pr0n.

Good tip. Can't stand OneDrive but a quick way to offload the docs to my own drives.

Exactly :). Open the drive app and click the little + icon, then just click scan. Take a pic of your document, choose it's name, then there you have it, your PDF scan saved on your drive account

I also use CamScanner and whilst haven't used Office Lens or this Adobe of, feel no reason to change, as it works great. Can upload to cloud storage easily.
Google drive has free scanning app and save to Android/Google account
Cam scanner is great. Clear scans, picks out edges of doc really well
Like a few people in this thread I find CamScanner the best of all those I've tried.
Office Lens is my favourite IMO. Google Drive's doesn't automatically cut out the background whereas Office Lens does. It scans up fine and saves to gallery easily (don't use OneDrive that much, even with the 100GB free Samsung promo).
Not a mobile phone user, but would be interested to know how quality compares to a scanner on an Epson Printer. Most mid price ones seem to come with a scanner, and loads of free software to choose from.

Printer is slightly better, but the difference is negligible.

Depends on your phone camera. Even with an old iPhone the quality is decent enough to zoom right in to a signature. We do this at work.

Scanner will be better quality as you be able to scan pictures or docs at higher resolution than any phone.
I've been using TinyScanner recently which has been really good
I like Office Lens for the range of outputs it offers. If you are content with PDF output then the range of scanner software is wider.
How about Evernote?
Not free. in app purchases.
