Looks like a good price to me @Ross_mcdiarmidfA8

Thanks!
Decent PSU but just for info this is the discontinued CX750M with 3 years warranty not 5 years like the current CX750M looking at the pictures, the old one has green on it like this and the new one is all grey on the logo.

Both made by CWT, old one is CWT DSAIII series the new one is CWT PUQ-B series, still a good PSU for the money.

Interestingly this shows as 5 years warranty on Maplin but I checked the CX850M old series on there and it doesn't state warranty, the new CX650M however does state 5 years, I would check with them on this as I think this is 3 year warranty.

Review here jonnyguru.com/mod…416 it does state 3 years

Just to add to the comment above, although the Maplins website shows the older CX750M with the green sticker, I managed to pick this up from a Maplins store and it was the newer version with the grey sticker like this one:

Yes that's the current one with 5 years, Maplins strikes again with incorrect description, well incorrect photo!

Can't seem to add to basket and no local stock shame
Grey label CX750M was the only Corsair PSU I had to fail on me and it was the low-grade fan with a sleeve bearing that failed causing thermal shutdowns under moderate load. I would never buy this again... for not a lot more there are better EVGA Gold-rated models and a little more than that buys the vastly better RM series.

Got this, soon will be 6 years, no problems so far. Great PSU.Super quiet and reliable +++
each to their own, but a few years ago I had a client come to me with a faulty 'fresh' machine that he had owned for 6months built by one of the big UK etailers. It had a faulty CX750M. He contacted their RMA department and they sent him out a fresh factory sealed CX750M which also turned out to be faulty when I installed it for him. I offered to deal with the RMA service on his behalf but he didnt want to bother with the etailer so replaced the faulty power supply out of his own pocket with an EVGA SuperNova G1 650w which retailed for the same price as this current deal.

The clients PC with the EVGA power supply is still going strong today although Its CPU is a few generations old.

Googling the the CX750m at the time when i was seeking an alternative showed there were similar horror stories floating around so I just put it down to CWT doing a bad job rather than a retailer receiving a bad batch.

At the same time, I have spoken to people who have had great success with the CX750M so for that reason I wont be voting on this deal.

There are better power supplies that can be had for the same money which i would trust powering a high-end PC.

Had the green one a while back. Clicking fan drove me mad. I had to open to replace. Could of just been mine though, but i seen quite a few posts when i googled. But thats the world i guess.
