Seems a good priced budget laptop - more hard drive space than the dell budget laptop deal (1TB instead on 500gb) and this has a dvd writer

Is it good brand?

Not sure it is a "premium brand" but it's not a tesco own make. Here is the same laptop (different colour) on john Lewis m.johnlewis.com/mt/…543

Not sure its a premium band but it's not a tesco own brand. Same laptop is £299.99 on john Lewis and £279.99 on Amazon.

Had 2 Asus for 4 years plus, not had a problem with either.

I got the similar specced dell about 5 months back, it is fine for browsing and watching movies if you know how to uninstall all the crap software. No good for high demand games, but fine for older stuff such as Half Life 2

They used to be years ago, now they churn out cheap nasty tat that's unreliable, and when you run into problems things only get worse when they inflict their version of customer service on you. Over the last few years I've had an Asus graphics card, motherboard, a laptop and a monitor... all failed just outside of warranty.

Really good laptop I bought it in white for uni. Paid 179.99 also
