I'm looking for a first laptop for my 12 year old, primarily for school work, so internet browsing, email, Microsoft office work etc. How does the Inspiron 15 3000 stack up against recent offers from Argos and on the Acer from ebuyer?

Your pricing on the

Inspiron 15 5000

@ £599 Now £364.65

is wrong as is the same as the 15 3000. Just put one in the basket and comes out at £466.65.
Definitely a nice discount though.

Thanks.. any goof i3 ?

Apologies, I've amended the prices now. Thanks for that!

I can't even get the codes to work lol

yeah discount code doesn't work with all items.

"The code is stackable"..

Stackable with what (other codes) ?

And it ends tomorrow (Wednesday) so is there likely a bigger discount code on Friday ?

Works only on a few items. What a waste of time. COLD

Code only works on items that specifically mention it. So it doesn't work on the 15 5000 series laptops.

I can't get it to work on 7577 that is mentioned above

edit techrader seems to indicate it applies only to inspiron 15 3000, 15 5000 and 15 5579. No 7577 it seems

Inspiron 15 7577 code dont work cold from me sorry
Edited by: "Reeferman" 21st Nov

it doesn't work for me on the 15 5000

Also, SAVE100 for £100 off over £899 and additional £100 cashback.

Codes arent stackable. Cant use with the SAVE100 code for the i7 version of the Dell 13 5379

Any standout desktops? I'm looking for a friend

Doesn't seem to be working for the XPS products...misleading title

Thanks OP for posting a non chinese deal for a change. I give you +1 for that alone. Hot from me.....

After last year's Black Friday deal calamity with Dell? Not touching it with a bargepole. Screw 'em.

Ditch Microsoft and get a Chromebook instead.

Amazon have the Acer Chromebook 14 for £180 at the moment; it will boot quicker and last much longer on battery than a normal laptop too!

This is a valid coupon code, but there are no matching items currently in your cart. ...Inspiron 7577... cold from me

Nice laptop for a 12 yr old. I bought one of these for some friends last year and it is a nice enough laptop. A bit plasticky but then most are today.

It is a good, solid functional device. Nothing spectacular but it does the job in terms of searching the internet, watching online videos and doing basic work.

Not for xps

Basically last year they had advertised great prices to attract site visits but had what seemed like a handful of each machine available so essentially by the time you added it to card it was sold.

im really hacked off at dell!
I should have bought a alienware on wednesday but thought wait for the black friday offers - it works out £70 more expensive now because theyve upped some prices and removed their £100 cashback!

Yesterday the codes not working for me either. However today I got 15% off a Dell XPS 8930 (highest spec they had).

Bought myself an Alienware Aurora R7 Desktop with an i7 8700K, GTX 1080 and 3 years premium support for the sum of £1,732 (Down from over £2200). After extensively comparing the parts with other prebuilds and PC part checker I feel confident in this being at least as good as building it myself. The temptation to drop the 3 years support and opt for a 1070 to make it £1,500 was strong but I reckon I made the right choice. Instantly bought an Oculus Rift for £350 from amazon afterwards. xD

Offer runs until the 27th.

I tried to use it and it said it had reached its limit?

Code expired

Won't be much good for gaming

Buy, buy, buy this is an incredible savings.

SAVE17 the new code for home purchases.

Is there an updated code for "business" purchases (those of us that want Windows 10 Pro)?
