CyberGhost VPN - 5 Devices, for 3 Years - £2/Month

This is one of the better deals I've personally seen for CyberGhost VPN; 3 Years subscription for the tidy sum of $99 (£69.86 as of 28/01/18) - Working out at $2.75/month (£1.94 as of 28/01/18).

Why choose CyberGhost VPN?
  • Over 1300 Servers Worldwide
  • Ultra-fast streaming
  • Live Support
  • Windows, Mac, iOS, Android
  • No Logs Policy
  • Double Encryption
  • Up to 5 devices
  • Made in Germany
  • 30 Days Risk Free

If anyone has spotted a better monthly pay rate for CyberGhost in the (not so distant) past, please let me know. I'm still debating whether to pick this up myself! I am aware there have been instances of 12 months subscriptions being given away for free, and I know CyberGhost is pretty much permenantly on sale, so I'm trying to find the sweet spot to buy.

You can find an unbiased, non sponsored, simple or detailed, comparison chart of all the most popular VPN services here. *Credit to Brite for posting this link on a previous deal.

just short of £70 for three year, thanks but no thanks, link goes no where by the way
Pretty good. Windscribe deal seems amazing as they have winflix too.

I use privatevpn which unlocks all netflix
Had them for a year and it was terrible, service would hang up all the time due to their poor client

Link leads to the CyberGhost website and automatically downloads the client for me... Unfortunately, I found this also happens with previous deals posted. I'll update the post with a link in the description, and see if that links to the correct page instead.

Update: It didn't work. It seems the way HUKD links, and CyberGhost receives, that it forces it to the download page.

Windscribe has free 10GB per month download and work pretty well
Just for comparison Nordvpn is $99 for 3 years

Had cyberghost for a year. Truly woeful. Moved to airvpn. Pay more but it has been flawless so far. - into my third year with them now.

Thanks for sharing.. I think I even saw this while I was researching the deal.. I'm not quite sure why I was still interested in CG after seeing the comparison charts! Considering the replies regarding CG service, I think I'll end up getting it instead

10GB, that's part of a movie. What do you use for the other 29 days and X hours?

switch to h265!
Had CyberGhost and went Windscribe now. CyberGhost was a great entryway VPN for me both getting me used to signing in when on public WiFi and requiring privacy but also opened my eyes to the pitfalls of VPN like slow connection, no data sent, etc. I wouldn’t use them again - also because of their terrible ‘one device’ policy (not one device at a time which would be fine, but explicitly one device signed in, ever). Customer service was sub-par too.

Good. I’m very happy with it. Good connection speed and does what I need.

With all those points it can hardly be described as ‘a great entryway’ surely?

I agree with everything you say but surely a great entryway is one with better features and less negatives at the same cost or less - of which there are plenty.

Well, no. Had I not got a VPN (even a crappy one like CyberGhost) I would never have known about what I was missing out on and if I could deal with compromises. As I had no comparison prior to it (other than getting it cheap through Humble Bundle) and still used it anyway, I now know what to expect and what a good or better VPN is - I also didn’t have the ability to cancel it mid-term. And the fact is it’s all anecdotal - people have good and bad experiences of all VPNs, I like Windscribe but others say it’s terrible.

I understand what you are saying but my point is you could have possibly described it a bit better or pointed out that there are better for less.

My point is someone new to VPN as you once were could read ‘great entryway’ and take your comments as a positive review and go for a deal that is really pretty poor - and as you say they are stuck with.

Your story sounds very similar to mine and how I ended up with CG, but I would say nothing about it is great, starter or not. In fact it could easily put someone off using a vpn who is new to the whole thing.

I didn’t say it was the recommended route - I said it was my gateway to a VPN (done badly). I would not recommend CyberGhost unless someone is adamant they really want a VPN and want fancy graphics and simplicity in an app.

Maybe people will misread it, I don’t know - but I’m going to be a bit blunt and say people should make an informed decision not just read my first sentence and go with that. If CyberGhost had more coverage when I took my sub out I wouldn’t have got lumbered with that POS...

I’m still sticking with the fact that you said ‘a great gateway’

Anyway I’m moving on, ultimately we agree. As it seems does the rest of HUKD as it is rather frosty in here now.

Yes, we do both agree it’s not a good choice of VPN (unless you didn’t have one before) - but still standing by the fact that if you simply read ‘great gateway’, stop reading and rush out to purchase a subscription then you (whoever buys it) has basically bought this upon themselves!

Lol but seriously even “if you didn’t have one before” this is not a good choice. Ever. A little research and anyone should see that. As long as they don’t end up on this thread because our conversation will put their head away.
Hi can anyone recommend a VPN for watching NOW TV and Amazon Prime Video / BBC iPlayer and ITV Player whilst on Holiday?

Ideally a lifetime sub one.

I've been reading around but for every positive review there is a negative one!
