The best vouchers for this appear to be the £10 off + free delivery (£3.50), meaning you'd get this for £19.99.

Although there are £15 discounts, you don't get free postage, so the discount in reality is £11.50, making the helmet £21.99.

Thanks Bristoldeal the £10 off + free delivery (£3.50) does seem to be the best discount ... hopefully we'll get some more good discount codes coming through before christmas too

voucher doesnt seem to work for me

You can get this down to £16.99 by using ZG9909 (£13.50 voucher) and XX494 (10% off) together

Don't forget Quidco

When you go through quidco, do you get 4.5% cashback on the original price or the final discounted price?

Normally the discounted price and often excluding VAT - Not sure how it works with LXDirect but even 4.5% of the discounted price exVAT is better than a slap in the face with a wet.........

Cool. Didn't realise you could use more than one voucher - that's rare for an online store!

Guys, don't know if it will work, but I just used code ZQ4322 together with XX494 and it worked out at £5.49 delivered. Paid using my visa debit card.

The code ZQ4322 is supposed to be £25 off £60 spend if you use an LX visa card.

I spent £29.99 on the cyberman ! Will let you know if I both get the deal and get charged correctly.

;-)

Just applied for this item and using the 2 codes suggested got it down to £16.99.

However having then registered as a new customer and supplying card details the code discounts had been removed from my invoice (although the code numbers still showed) and the invoice price had reverted back to the original price of £33.48.

Anyone else had this problem?

Just ordered at £16.99. I didn't want to push it for the £5.99 price. I think the initial invoice won't include the vouchers.

Same as you RICH42FL - by the time I get through to the invoice page the promotional deduction has disappeared. Wassup?

The mask is also listed in Boots on their 3 for 2 promotion so technically you could get it for free, it depends what else you buy. Currently though its out of stock.

Here is my email receipt, so it looks like the discount should show on the initial invoice.

Fantasic spudgun .. bargain! :-D

I just ordered it with the 2 discount codes previously listed (many thanks) and got it for £16.99 - however, it now says they are awaiting stock delivery by Thursday 9th November.

I only really wanted it for the Christmas party so this suits me fine.

2 months later (I was charged £63 two months after the purchase when I used a 20% off voucher code - apparently it was for the first order only – I never was told that when I ordered it!!!)

i just ordered 20 of them, should make a fortune on ebay.

Only kidding, my dad is davros so we have loads of cybermen heads kicking around in the shed already.....

Surely that's a fraudulant charge, and if it was me I would get on to my credit card company and dispute it. If they accept your order at the time and accept a payment and ship the goods, then that is the contract entered into and concluded. They cannot then simply take more money for it at some arbitrary time in the future.

Oh my god - if I hadn't seen this post I wouldn't have checked my order. The ***** have charged me £30.49 ignoring one of the discount codes yet this morning they happily accepted both and confirmed they would be charging me only £16.99. I printed the page and have proof that they charged me £16.99. Just checked bank account and they've taken £30.49. As KevinM has said this is surely fraudulent.

I so hope others who purchased it before me check their orders now to see if their codes have been accepted. Incidentally I used ZG9909 (£13.50 voucher) and XX494 (10% off); the former code has been ignored/disallowed?

And now the fight begins.

Well maybe it SEEMS to accept more than one code, but you're not actually supposed to use more than one, and so it has accepted the second code because that was the last one entered (which overwrites the first one in their system?)

You also accepted their T&C's as part of the order process which has something in it about using codes not allocated to you I guess.

I read on another forum that they charge you and then credit the card back again - sometimes as late as despatch of the goods. The same forum also has someone who was charged because the voucher was only for use for people applying for their Visa card - and hence they could not have been issued with the voucher.. Perhaps see the other thread re. £25 off spend (assuming that is what you used) on here before you shout too much .

I think the problem is that the e-mail confirmation states a price for the goods, yet they debit a higher price without any checking or authorisation.

If there is a discrepancy then they should confirm this before charging and shipping, and not simply go ahead and charge the higher price.

I appreciate what you say re the codes, but they still cannot e-mail you a confirmation of one price and then debit a higher price, no matter what their T&C's say.

In that case they should either phone/e-mail or write to you to inform you that the price is higher than the one stated in the e-mail, or simply cancel the order. Debiting a higher price is fraud.

Kevin.

I gotr charged full price last time I used codes. But they seem to take all the money out and credit the codes to your account. A bit strange but thats what they do... last time I used them anyway - which was a while back!

A quick update regarding this.

Just got off the phone with a nice lady at LX and she had a look at my account and the the way they do the vouchers is to debit the full amount from your CC and then refund the vouchers back to the CC.

Bit of a long winded way to do it, but the net result is the same. She confirmed to me that my Cyberman helmet was despatched today and that the £13.50 voucher has already been refunded to my CC.

That is why, when you look at your account online, it shows the full value of the item as your order cost.

Kevin.

I spoke to their Customer Services and wrote a complaint - no reply!
Apparently they have it in their T&C .
They return the voucher money onto your account a few days after a purchase was made and then charge you back a few months later - they even open their account on your name for that ( I just paid by debit card and never asked to open this account )

polzovatel, i have heard of people on MSE etc having real problems with lxdirect codes, i have never experienced this myself (maybe i've been lucky). There is always a chance using a discount code that it may be cancelled, however i personally think as long as you use the codes wisely, the chances of your code being cancelled is greatly reduced.
