We make exceptions. This is one. Anything Naughty Dog produce is also a permanent exception to the rule. If it’s EA, BioWare, Activision or Ubisoft.... NEVER.

This is CD Projekt Red lol. I'd preorder anything they make, forever. This anti-pre-order bandwagon is toxic. All because a few game devs/publishers put money first, we should stop supporting those who make exceptional games?

Kojima would have you changing gears and rolling the window down when it gets steamy.

Seen a couple of references to shooting today, one made reference to a reviewer being upset as they’d made it through 9 hours of Death Stranding without killing anyone. Why does a game have to involve shooting and/or killing people to be enjoyable?

Good price unless you want steelbook with artwork from amazon. PC always from GOG.

But closer to release when there may be better deals!
I used to feel the same about Bioware and Bethesda and look what happened there.
For preorders:

We understand that not paying for your pre-order too far in advance is important. For this reason, we will attempt to take payment for pre-orders 1-3 days before the official release date once we have the items in stock and ready to ship, so you're not paying anything earlier than necessary.

However, orders placed with Credit/Debit Card that are for items that are released more than 90 days from the date purchased will need to be charged in advance. We will email you a few days before so you can ensure you have sufficient funds available in advance.

Payment for orders placed using PayPal will be captured when we dispatch your items, unless your order was placed more than 28 days before the official release date. In this case, your payment will be captured within 28 days of your order being placed. Please ensure you have sufficient funds available in your PayPal account at this time.

This is going to be another slow burner like death Stranding, but when you get to the action it’s gonna be intense, but but but i’ve Seen the footage, yeh co they showed you the best parts.

where the genre flows better with more action.

so a mix basically. So long as you’re cool with slow sections you’ll be fine. It’s not all going to be running around like Witcher, or like a typical FPS, it’s not meant to be

i love the Cyberpunk genre, so I can deal with slow burning. Just a heads up before people freak out about this game when it comes out.

No one says a game has to have shooting in it. I love "walking simulators" as much as the next guy.

I was merely refuting that this game would be like Death Stranding. It won't.

Luckily as an adult i can make my own decisions thanks.

I dont think there is a world where Projekt Red are going to realease a broken mess.

There portfolio is like Naughty dog, 10/10.

Bethesda games have been joked about buggy messes as long as i can remember, bioware is owned by EA.

Only difference is CDPR isn’t owned by EA or Activision. They can release games whenever they feel like it. Witcher 2 was good but not great only because they run out of money and no one wanted to help them with investments. Now they are all begging to buy and invest in CDPR but it won’t happen they work for themselves. It’s extremely rare and should be supported.

Ironic isn't it , that EA and Activision are ones who shovel out the same games every year, While CDPR like Rockstar take years to develop 10/10 Single player games
People saying pre-order a game because the developer won’t release a bad game..

Why would you pre-order a game in 2019 anyway? It’s not like retailers will run out of stock. Pre-order DLC is never worth it anyway - an extra skin or gun which you won’t even notice an hour in to the game.

Just wait for reviews before jumping to conclusion for save £3 on a game that could suck.
Edited by: "Wolfenstain" 3rd Nov
Oh, I'll pre-order anything from.....but why? What are you gaining from a pre-order? Is saving £3 worth it when you could be buying a lemon? Give me 25% off for buying at a point when we know little about the game - sure. But to pay full price for something in advance...when you can just wait until release day and pay the same. Madness.

Because I want the game on release and don't live near any shops that sell games? Also, I would like physical as they're usually cheaper than digital (and can sell once completed). If digital games weren't around £60 on launch (from Microsoft store), your argument would be valid. You can typically pick up a physical for around £40 on pre-order.

I am saving £20, not £3. Plus, I'll get back £30 when I sell it. So all in all, it's cost be a £10, if it's single player only. Also, I've pre-ordered games since I was a kid, never had a bad one. Just because there's been a couple of broken games recently, doesn't mean everyone should stop pre-ordering.

I have, I don't play Fallout. Plus, BioWare isn't 100% at fault. There's a good book on how games are made you should read called "Blood, Sweat, and Pixels". I don't know the full story of what happed at BioWare, but I'd guess that EA were the ones pushing for a release when the game wasn't ready. I have no idea why the game was never fixed; perhaps EA cut they're loses and stopped bankrolling BioWare.

Plus, why should we punish all game devs because of 1 or 2 bad games/decisions? Why should CD Projekt Red lose out because BioWare released a bad game and EA is well, we know what? It makes no sense. Punish those who sell you unfinished games full of microtransactions, don't punish those who consistently make out-standing games. Otherwise, we'll lose the stellar games.

Plus, those who are preaching 'stop pre-order' aren't making a dent in those who will always pre-order Fifa when it's the same broken game release every year.

Not saying we should punish anyone. Buy the game, absolutely. Just don’t buy blindly. It allows them to get away with seriously unscrupulous behaviour that is growing more and more common in the gaming industry. And people pre-ordering games are enabling that behaviour.

I agree, but with the devs/publishers that have let us down in the past. With the dev's that consistently deliver, both with the initial game but also DLC/updates, etc., I see no issue with supporting them with pre-orders. For example, not pre-ordering anything with EA's name on it will is a good rule of thumb.

Also, I love how CD Project Red operate and the fact that they're a Polish company yet continually outperform the big US dev's. Not just with the quality of their games, but how they treat their staff.

There were complaints about the crunch period during The Witcher 3, but here's hoping their promise for Cyberpunk holds up.
