I was looking to buy a decent gaming keyboard and came across this at the checkout in PCWorld - Buy the Cyborg V5 Gaming Keyboard & RAT 5 Gaming Mouse together for £69.99 - If you're looking to get both a gaming keyboard and a gaming mouse I think this is a great deal.

Keyboard and mouse program easily and the RAT 5 has three selectable modes which change the button layout you programmed on the fly.

NOTE:
There are two RAT 5 Gaming mice in store, One with a red thumb wheel and one with a silver thumb wheel, Offer only applies to the silver thumb wheel version (Different product codes).

Heat added
I feel I need to make it a little clearer.

There are actually 3 RAT 5 mice at PCworld,

BLACK case SILVER thumb wheel (The one in the picture above)
Black case Red thumb wheel
Red case Red thumb wheel

This offer only covers the BLACK case with SILVER thumb wheel and make sure they scan the KEYBOARD first

nice!
i really dislike how the mice feel for gaming. Go instore and see if there is a display model to handle first. Heat for price regardless of my opinion. not seen it cheaper and you might love it!

disagree, feels great in the hand, smooth. no difference between the 5 and the 7. great gaming mouse.
Looks amazing!
Are gaming mice and keyboards comfortable if you use Word and other office software a lot? My PC is used for games and work

Most are. like i said its good to try them out if your not sure. There are not many i find uncomfortable. Cyborg are popular but not my thing. I had a Micorosoft X8 which was spot on for a mix between both. most of the time gaming means more buttons and a higher Dpi.
This is a good deal .
sent my rat9 back, terrible design, bad balance and a stupid way to insert a battery (3 and 5 are cabled)
Don't really trust anything made by Mad Catz these days
Regardless, heat added!
like but want wireless
I dont know if keyboard is comfortable as I use a belkin Nastramo n52
but may go see what this mouse is like
This is one hell of a deal! Outranks my G105 and G9X I got for a similar price a few months ago!
Heat added because it looks so good but unusable for me

I cant do ANY wireless mouse lol. not sure why! it should be better BUT i cant get on with it unless i have that restrictive wire. am i the only one?
Dont like gaming mice and keyboards for anything other than obviously games

Logitech performance mx mouse or its predecessor are the best but obvioulsy lack the dpi and config of some gaming mice and are wireless which is good and bad
Those who are on O2 network can also get £5 discount (priorities).
Hope this helps
I have the mouse and its great, I think I got it for around 50 quid, so yeah combined with the keyboard it looks like a good deal
Darn I saw this deal, but assumed the keyboard wasn't that expensive.

For gaming I would have thought wired would be better as I wouldn't want any kind of wireless latency, battery failing at a crucial moment, etc

Other than the extra buttons do gaming mice and keyboard make really noticeable differences to the average gamer or is it more of a placebo effect ?

I meant more in terms of cable. For some reason, without it....it doesn't feel right. Not in terms of latency. just in a physical sense.... weird i know!
I use this mouse, v. nice
