Lee Valley VeloPark’s indoor velodrome was where Team GB triumphed at London 2012 winning medal after medal. The 250 metre track is the fastest in the world and soon everyone from beginners to elite will be able to ride it, following in the tracks of Olympic and Paralympic champions.

If you've never ridden a track bike before, now's your chance! It takes a bit of getting used to as the bikes have no gears or brakes and do have 'fixed' wheels. Our sessions detailed below are set up for everyone whether you're looking for a one-off experience to be able to say "I've done it", are keen to get into track cycling or are already an accomplished cyclist.

A 1 hr taster session is £30 (£22 for concessions) - includes bike and helmet hire. You can book now for the 2nd April onwards.

Thanks for your redspottedhanky post by the way, I used my £10 credit yesterday

Have done this in Manchester which was cheaper (can't remember the exact price but I think it was about £10-11). Really enjoyed it. Would recommend it to anyone interested in cycling, as well as those who just think they may like it.

Not really a deal seeing as there's only one Olympic Velodrome but worth a look. Can see myself crashing on this on lap 1

Hot deal again Chanchi thanks

Payment page isn't working for me I put in my details then goes back to the same page again

Link to the National Cycling Centre in Manchester that has a BMX and Mountain Bike tracks too .... much cheaper too:

Lee Valley VeloPark on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will be fully open to the public on 31 March

This seems very good. I think I would die if I was on the track for an hour. Can I book 10 minutes
