Would love a Cryus system. Mrs Boz might consent to me buying the hifi rack, but I don't think I'll ever get to talk her into letting me have a Cyrus system.... Heat though!

not worth it ... very limited use ... half width equipments are rare these days

What a stupid comment !

It is designed for Cyrus units only so how can it be limited use (_;)

Hence the OP being very specific about what it is suitable for. There are various bits of hifi that are half width. To the many hundreds of Cyrus audio users, this will be a bargain. Something that was £599, is now £99.

Why post on something that is a deal and litter it with useless info? The OP and pictures are very clear. Vote whether it is a hot deal or not. Not whether you need it or not.

If only I could justify the cost of the Cyrus kit!

Exactly, and that too from someone who hasnt posted a single useful deal in the 1+ year of being a member.

Great find OP.

Miley's signature range?

So it's technically a shelf

Original Poster

I'm fairly certain the default configuration is 3 shelves, so if more are required the full price appears to be £75 for a pair of additional shelves. I guess any prospective buyer should check with Richer Sounds if they have shelves in stock and also discounted.

Can I put a PS4 on it

I saw Cyrus and rack and thought I'd be in for a treat, instead I saw some shelving ...

Cyrus, great British hifi...

There will be a good reason why these are so heavily reduced, because at richer sounds, this being a rack and ex display will probably mean its taken more than a few knocks and dinks over its service time which will differ from shop to shop. But saying that, at this price as long as its in relatively good condition...Heat!

I wish there was a Naim rack this cheap!

£599 for a shelving system........HIFI NOT included! WTF there are some really gullible consumers out there!

Can't you see how shiny it is?

WTF £99 for a shelf? This is worse than apple USB-C adapter which does so much more in comparison....

To buy if for £599 it would have to keep me elevated....

As someone here said great british hifi = great british ripoff

Some people prefer style over substance. Some realise quality costs whilst some know the cost of everything and the value of nothing you sir fit in the last statement...

A few dings for a saving of £500, I'd have one if I had a use for it.

The worst kind of troll, an opinionated one with no info on what he is slagging.

£99 is pretty reasonable, probably cost around £50 to make as it's not a common run unlike cheaper products. If I was setting up a £6k plus HIFI I would probably pay out for an active air cool cabinet though.

You do realise Cyrus separate units cost anywhere from around £750 up and that is a single unit, can't amp a CD unit on its own without speakers.

So saying that, if you have a spare 3 grand or more to spend on these great british hifi units, I don't think paying £599 to compliment them is really going to bother you that much because what will bother you will be a adding a half damaged piece of rubbish rack to the mix when you could have a nice new shiny one that hasn't been touched by every tom, dick or harry who stood in richer sounds touching it and going "oooh look shiny, have some greasy fingerprints!"

You call this style and reasonable?

Id rather go with bang and oulfsen at least it looks like something that has been designed and not drawn on a whiteboard by a chimpanzee

You can't get a new one though as they are discontinued apparently.

Not every TD&H will have gone anywhere near these as they will be either a demo unit or as some seem to be open box.

Bang & Olufsen are the Bose of the hifi world, all looks & very little substance from what I have heard.

Heard with my ears that is.

Before you start as well I run a Naim system that looks industrial, like Cyrus, but was bought for sound quality & not pose value.

I am sorry, but with that quote you further demonstrate you have no clue about hifi or what you are talking about. B&O are very pretty, but sound pretty ordinary. You are paying over the top for some glitter. Cyrus on the other hand is British hifi that sounds pretty good. You have to spend a fair whack more before you get a decent improvement in sound.

So yes, you go for the glittering cabinet with cheap innards from China. I will stick with quality, value for money British hifi.

But this is a cabinet that doesn't even glitter and costs an arm and a leg (before the discount)
