Its on a VIP deal (but free to sign up as a VIP) so only available in store or over the phone. And it's teal only.

”A handsome difference to your on-the-go sound.”– ‘What Hi-Fi’ 2018 award winner.

Improve the sound of your smartphone
The Cyrus soundKey uses a top quality DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) built into an ultra-low power circuit that lets you hugely improve the sound of your smartphone or tablet without rapidly draining the battery. Using a much better DAC than the one built into most smartphones and tablets means music sounds more dynamic, detailed and true-to-life.

Compatible with Hi-Res music files
A further bonus with the soundKey is that it's compatible with Hi-Res music files up to 24 bit/96kHz. This means that, as well as MP3 and AAC files, it will also replay your Hi-Res FLAC files. Hi-Res makes the music sound more natural, with subtle detail easier to detect.

Ultra-low power consumption
A key advantage with this DAC over others is the extremely low power consumption. With a battery drain of less than 50 milliamps - under half the maximum recommended by Apple for use with their iOS devices - the soundKey is kind to your phone's battery. What this means is a much longer phone battery life than when using other mini-DACs. The device itself is also battery-free.

Works with Windows 10, Android 5+ and iOS9+
Compatible with Windows, Android and Apple devices the soundKey is suitable for just about any smartphone. Simply make sure you have the correct USB OTG (On The Go) connection (Apple Camera Kit connection for Apple iOS devices) and you're good to go.

Compact, robust and light
Crafted using high quality brushed aluminium, the soundKey is both lightweight and strong. Its sleek design combined with its compact dimensions and mere 18g weight make it perfect for music on the move.

Unlock the key to great sound from your smartphone, with the Cyrus soundKey.

I'm thinking the same! I've got a LG V30 and the HiFi DAC is amazing! With OnePlus losing the headphone jack, this is the only way to get quality audio.
Careful if you have USB C as this is USB B. Fortunately, I won't be purchasing as the LG V40 I have, already has quality DAC built in otherwise I'd be all over this with a USB C connector sourced separately. Still running wired and this proving essential for proper sound experience compared to wireless offerings, now seen as the trend! Those with decent Cans with option to go wired would be amazed with what this little gadget can do....go on break the mould and enjoy ;-)
I paid £90 for mine and it was money well spent. This is a bargain. Heat!

Box includes both USB-C and micro-USB cables

Very good product, not so convenient for on-the-go listening due to tangle of cables in pocket. Low power consumption being USP of this versus much of competition.

Would this work with a Pixel 2? Would it provide a decent improvement?

An external USB DAC will only work if your phone supports OTG (On-The-Go). OTG allows your phone to connect to pen drives, external hard drives etc.

Check if the pixel 2 is OTG compatible before buying it.
I bought one of these from RS and it was very good until it started distorting for a few seconds at the beginning of some tracks. RS replaced it but the replacement did the same thing. RS then gave me a Dragonfly Black as a replacement. Much better than the Cyrus in every quantifiable way.

Yes it will, in fact Pixel phones need this as in-built dac not good, they're much stronger at wireless listening, one of best aptX implementations

Problem is... Pixel battery life, better on XL models & 3a but still not up to Huawei flagship standards (we'll see 4th gen, they usually follow Apple so it should be improved)

Not as good as the July deal when Richer Sounds sold the graphite one for £49.99 (when I bought mine).

You don’t need a blind test. You’d have to be deaf not to notice the difference. Obviously having good headphones is important but just the jump in volume is noticeable.

If you’ve got a load of MP3’s and you’re happy with the sound through your bundled earphones, it’s a waste of money. If you’ve got flac files and/or hi res streaming like tidal, I’d say you’ll really appreciate the improvement.

I got both and good cans, also a bedroom music studio with some great kit. Play guitar and keys, to be honest I don’t here much difference with anything other than my old cd standalone separates player, that has more detail than anything be in wav or flac. Everything else sounds the same. Might just be my old ears lol

I think you’d notice the difference. The definition in your old CD separates will be mirrored from your phone when using this. It’ll improve the MP3’s but if you’ve got proper lossy flac files and good cans this is a sound investment.

*pun intended:)
