The D-Link DKT-710 kit is the ideal solution for first-time home users wishing to connect to the Internet wirelessly.
It consists of one wireless G ADSL2+ modem/router and one USB2.0 adapter.

Based on the 802.11g standard, the DKT-710 kit offers a maximum wireless signal rate of 54Mbps through its wireless channels, allowing computers to share a high-speed Internet connection, documents, photos, games or just communicate without the hassle of Ethernet cables. The router includes four Ethernet port, ready for you to connect computers or other Ethernet-enabled devices such as print server, network camera, network storage or media player.

The router can be used on any ADSL, ADSL2 or ADSL2+ type of Internet connection, as it has a modem built-in. It is compatible with all European service providers. Both router and adapter are backwards compatible with older 802.11b Wi-Fi devices.

The router's built-in Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall makes it more difficult for hackers to penetrate your network. Strong parental controls are included, which allow blocking or allowing specific web sites completely or at certain times of the day. This security feature has been made exceptionally easy to configure on the router.

On the wireless side, MAC address filtering and powerful encryption can be configured for secure data transfers and keeping intruders from tapping into your broadband connection.

With USB, the adapter can be used on either a laptop or a desktop PC.

The D-Link Click'n Connect (DCC 2) wizard allows anyone without prior technical knowledge to install both the router and adapter and connect to the Internet within minutes simply by running the enclosed CD.

The DKT-710 kit has passed the rigorous testing to achieve Microsoft Windows Vista 's approval.
With this router, users will be able to take full advantage of the new operating system, such as discovering and managing their devices with the Network Explorer and Network Map features in Windows Vista.

Not sure that's a good idea if you were thinking of just putting the USB stick in your Xbox360 and the modem/router/WiFi box on your phoneline. (Sorry no time to explain more now.)

even with port forwarding?

I've tried everything Inc port forwarding. It's only a problem if I try to create a party with other O2 router friends!

I have a D-Link wireless router and it's the best I've ever owned , much better that the Belkin rubbish I had before - excellent load sharing between users ensuring that activity by one does not overly effect others and works great for online gaming

Just ordered this as my O2 box gives me grief when trying to connect to play xbox live party. Riger.
