I bought this item two days back for £49.99...box still unopened...

Unfortunately, the price is reduced.

Anyone has experience with Play.com? (similar to Amazon's 30day price drop policy)

I called them to check if they can refund me the difference, but they rejected... I have to return the product (as unwanted) and have to pay for returning..

Any suggestions??

Already posted about before, though the price has changed.

cheers OP, looks like a good deal... {went for one}

I'd rather poke my eyes out than buy another D-link.

Any suggestions...

Waiting!!!!

Having now had 2 Linksys die on me from overheating (I think) I am game to try anything and ordered one. No confirmation yet from play.com ....

D-Link are the best Home/Small Office network equipment (bar cabling) manufacture around except Cisco equipment but Cisco own D-Link.

would this work on a PC? thanks.

I use the Netgear Rangemax, a £49.99 Argos bargain from this forum, supposed to have 7 antennas..excellent coverage in my house:thumbsup:

Cheers, i may just get one of these.

Does the DSL in play.com's title mean that it's for use with cable?

No they don't, they own Linksys.

You'll find they own both D-Link and Linksys.

Can only find the Dl-G624M on the D-Link site & this is a MIMO router (no ADSL modem). Have you got yours yet? Has it got a in-built ADSL modem?

Try ]http//ww…tbg

which is D-Link Uk or

]http//ww…458

which is the international website.

And this does have a built in modem.

I'd like to see some evidence of these please.

sorry I should have stated it more clearly, Cisco owns the company the runs D-Link and before Cisco bought the company Linksys, the D-Link equipment came with the Division of Cisco logo on it. Since they have bought Linksys it has changed. there is stuff about it if you look, it is a common misconception that Cisco runs D-Link, they own a company which it is part of.

Ive had mine. It does indeed have a built-in ADSL modem. Its a really good router, but it comes with an older firmware. Theres a slightly newer one available for download on D-Link's website.

Ive been having serious issues with my iMac over wireless for months. It wasnt happy with my Netgear DG834G, my Fujitsu-Siemens AP600 or my 2Wire 1800HG. It would work reasonably at 802.11b with these. The D-Link allows me to get a strong 802.11G signal, and it its a very well featured router, albeit with a slightly clunky web interface. Absolute bargain at £40 to be honest. I'll be ebaying the card though as I dont need it, so this makes it an even better bargain for me!

price is back up @79.99 delivered

Linksys however, is run by Cisco, and is its unofficial "budget" range - I would prefer a linksys

they are rivals...Linksys has long been a subsidiary of Cisco.....

Dlink are the best network manufacturer for Small Office Home Office (SOHO) use

Linksys are good, Netgear are ok, belkin are awful, forget anyone else
