Dacia sandero, still only £5995 otr @ Dacia, includes 3 year warranty and breakdown cover

Dacia's Sandero sets out to completely change the way you think about budgeting for a compact family five-door car. It's half the cost of many similarly sized models and surprisingly class-competitive in many areas given the 'shockingly affordable' prices being asked, especially in this improved form. This car has been shaking up the market - and it's easy to see why.

What is the saving on the real cost? I mean, where is the deal?
No deal, this is the RRP

Good cars if on a budget and got Renault engines very reliable cars

First time I have seen Renault and reliable in the same sentence
Do you set yourself a reminder to repost this every time it's allowed?
It's like you are on commission or something! I'd not be surprised in the slightest to find you have some sort of connection with Dacia/Renault in some fashion...
It's just retail price, as usual. Nothing new from the last 4 (or more?) times you posted it...

Great car!
Soz, caught the minus by mistake. Great deal

I still haven't seen one of these on the road
These really are ugly! Surely they could at least colour code the bumpers and door handles to make it look a little less like the Skoda's of the 80's!
local kebab joint bought one of these for delivery driver.

Think the Ambiance is better value considering you're getting colour matching bumpers, AC, DAB and electrics (windows front, central locking) for £1300 more, proably less if you can haggle or find a pre-reg.

Not sure where about you live but have they discovered the wheel there yet, if so then these cars are sure to follow.

I'm sold on that.
Saw a silver one in my rear mirror yesterday which looked good from the front anyway as i was being tailgated by the ****wit.
See Op's post in November 2017 for the same thing here. Lots of interesting stuff about these cars

998cc for what looks like a reasonably sized five door car looks very underpowered (I looked at the Lauriate) , not voted either way as price is very good but very unsure about engine etc

Then the price would need to go up.

You are losing sight of what they are trying to do....cheap and cheerful.

If you want fancy touches, buy the next models up.

Perspective : this costs £500 LESS than the cost of a 1.0 litre Citroën AX I bought in 1993!

Is this the 3 litre turbo diesel?

This has a better power to weight ratio than a 1.4 75ps Vauxhall Corsa. The new 1.0 engine 3 cylinder engine is more powerful and economical than the previous 1.2 engine that it replaced.

ha ha I get that, but something can be budget but not look dreadful! Look at phones for example, the Moto G range are budget yet look fine, same as the Huawei P10 Lite. Budget doesn't mean it has to look budget! It wouldn't cost them much more to spray 2 bumpers and 4 door handles!

Very clear that this guy has some affiliation with the brand, using this forum as free advertising. This isn’t a deal. It’s a bit like posting a deal for Tesco Value washing liquid at 12p, or however much it is, and calling it a deal. There’s always a product at the top end and bottom end of every type. This just happens to be the cheapest and most basic car that you can get, and you get what you pay for. Me, I like Fairy liquid.

Well put. I too, prefer Fairy. Sometimes you *do* get what you pay for!

Depends if he has been talking to Fernando Alonso! He spent much of last season following one before his Honda broke down!
It's always been this price. Probably should state as well that the budget model does not even have a radio or speakers and only comes in white!

Just bought mine, I went for the next model up though as I wanted electric windows and central locking
In the OP,s defense, why do we discount the rrp of some retailers because we have some idea of what it's actually worth. For the price to get someone otr it's a deal, what you get for your money you can decide if it's a good deal or not.
I suppose people should vote hot because something is discounted which 99% are so whats the point of the voting system.

Yes but it's 'still' retail price.
It's also still a rubbish car but that doesn't stop it getting posted either!
kabs1 h, 17 m ago

............... so whats the point of the voting system.

There is no point to the voting system here!!!
I thought it was a van at first
They should stick a turbo on it like the big boys do, That'd make it entertaining.
I see the "it's not a deal, it's RRP" crew are out in force today.

Does seem a bit odd that one user reposts this same thing as often as is permitted, but in general I have no problem with 'deals' that are actually always that price. If it gets voted hot, there will be loads of people thankful as they've found out about a good price they were unaware of.

Surely if you've bought something for a brilliant price, great value, then you have got a good deal?
Deal does not mean special offer or discount. Check your dictionaries.

If you're that fed up of seeing stuff you already knew about being voted hot, I'd suggest maybe going outside? It's useful information for thousands of others.
I didn't count how many times this has been posted, but its clear the OP knows a shed load about the prices of walkie talkies!
