Dads Eat Free on Father's Day at Chiquito's Mexican Restaurant

Banned
Chiquitos are running an offer that dads can eat free on Father's Day: Sunday 19th June (edit!) as long as someone else orders one other main course.

I'm not sure whether you'll need to show proof of paternity or if they'll allow any man to walk in with a partner to say he's a dad and have a free meal, but it's worth a try! More details on the link.

Kids have to come along
Edited by: "goonertillidie" 8th Jun 2011

sure there must be another condition to it. like another full paying adult or something.

otherwise i could turn up with my son and get him a kids meal -and order what i want?

Ts & Cs
One free main course when one other main course is purchased. Not valid with any other offers or promotions.
Valid on 19th June 2011 only. Max one free main course per table/bill transaction. At participating restaurants only.

Looks like another main course then but nothing stopping you from ordering a main for your child and eating both lol! How do you find out which are "participating restuarants"??

I`m away for that weekend with the kids, why do these offers always require you to purchase 1 main meal before you get one free, annoying!

Voted cold for the appalling incorrect use of the apostrophe in the thres title.

voted cold, much like the temperature of the appalling food

I know! It's crazy how they try make money off of us!
You'd say they were trying to run a business or something!

Shouldn't this read 'Dad's eat free, but Dad's pay the rest of the bill'

Grammar correction fail due to your spelling mistake. Also, couldn't the apostrophe could be used in the possessive sense meaning restaurants belong to the Chiquito brand?
Anyway, good deal, need to borrow someone's children

Bar Ha-Ha also did this last year but never advertised it!

I would imagine he's talking about the big, fat, obviously unnecessary apostrophe in that's been plonked in the word "Dads".

(Which is now gone!:3)

I think he was referring to the apostrophe in "Dad's" which is definitely wrong. Apostrophe in Chiquito's is colloquially ok.

Anyway, I'm a grammar geek too but, this is about free food. Voting mildly piquant from me and I may even head over there for my free fake Mexican.

Terrible food (for me personally) but a good deal if you like faux Tex-Mex food.

And for the guy who voted cold because of a punctuation mistake - you're on the wrong forum

If going I would be taking 2 kids, so spending more money than if there were just two adults going on a bogof, but cheers for your helpful comment!

Why are so many people saying it's terrible food? As in there's a better Mexican restaurant instead or you just don't like Mexican food in general? I haven't been for ages but it's always really nice for me when I've been.

How do dads eat free ? Im sure most would end up paying the whole bill !

Chiquitos have discoutns like this all the time, they give you coucher books every time you go (well at least at mine they do)

hot hot hot.

I agree. As a child-friendly restaurant chain it's pretty good. I'd still prefer to go to a 'real' restaurant but these places tend to cater far better for kids. e.g. a wide range of kids meals, activity packs, etc.

Also, I've consistently found that the quality is specific to each Chiquito restaurant. (The Dunfermline one being consistently good, the Livingston one consistently poor.)

Will vote cold just because Derby dont have this resturant as usal.

This is not mexican food i'm afraid but tex mex which is a completely different thing. The best chain of mexican food is Wahaca besides the individual based alternatives.

Dad's eat free but the overpriced prices of meals will cover Chiquitos losses!

Just make it a day out....

I have quite a large family, lol. So the current 20% off you food bill voucher or Kids Eat Free (with each paying adult up to a max of 4) is a better deal for me than just Dad eating free!

As they are both valid until the end of the month I will use one of those for my next visit! (I think the food is ok, well as ok as Frankie and Benny's or any other of the 'restaurants' of this type! Fine with kids!

I would normally think this guy is having a laugh. But after being on this site for a while, and reading ridiculous posts about deals, and picking up on the most mondane things, so much so I have stopped posting deals with the fact I cant be bothered with the hastle people give others who have went out of their busy schedule to help people with a deal, I actually am wondering if he is being serious............
