I to very rarely use my main oven in fact only when doing very large pizza's. I cook all sorts in this from pizza, meats, whole chickens, chips. When cooking you don't need to wait for it heating etc, if doing a 10" pizza just put it on middle rack with expander ring on and your off, also cooks faster than normal oven so you learn through trial and error for ajusting cooking times, I currently have 2 of these and have ordered this as a spare incase one breaks down but they are very reliable and mine is used every day. To get an idea type in "halogen oven videos" into Google, you will see all sorts of makes/models but they all do the same thing and show examples of what you can cook.

I use mine for everything and haven’t touched my oven. These generally last a couple of years but save on electric. No preheating just turn it on and off you pop
Looks more slick

I read the bulbs in these things are not replaceable so when it pops it's basically in the bin. Seems like a giant waste of money/time if that's the case.

They don't last as long as the metal grill ones either.

Cheers ordered as my spare for when my current one breaks. Use these every day and are great.

In terms of space occupied by the box it remains in, this is perhaps chief of all the many HUKD purchases I have bought and never used. It sits atop a shelf in the utility room, undisturbed for a year or so since it was priced at under just £20 a while back. My immediate impression is that the footprint is very large for a kitchen utensil and reviews I’ve read since have almost universally suggested that it doesn’t cook things all the way through. However, some people in this thread seem to like it. Maybe this will finally persuade me to grab a stepladder and give it a try.
At first glance, I thought this was a Darth Vader helmet on a transparent body.

i use mine as normal oven being disabled...ive had it 5 years with no problem.. as long as you clean it often and look after it...will never go back to normal oven
I have a halogen, great for 10" pizza, scones etc...

Yes, it does circulate the hot air so cooks well but you should keep an eye on the contents as it will brown more under the element. I always use the "defrost" or "fan only" after it's been on to help cool down the element. It has meant it lasts longer, my last one taught me that lesson.
I tried toast in it but it was not great but I fiyld its great for pizza, baking scones and other stuff.

Not all are the same, I have replaced the element (bulb) in my last halogen my current one has not ever needed replacing. I also used a halogen for sublimation printing on mugs.
I have same capacity but diff maker, can do multiple stuff together and frees up micro. Not sure about Daewoo quality, everything I have had from them broke pretty quickly
Not a very good piece of kit, avoid!

The codes quoted have expired - so technically so is that deal, but leave it to @goonertillidie to decide whats best. Also ok if its deemed a dupe as long as we make the policy consistent then
different code, tbh it should've been expired earlier going by code so this is fine

I got mine recently and I agree with this. Definitely not touched my main oven and is in fact now completely turned off and used as a storage area.

Question for you though since you mention the expander ring, I'm having trouble fitting mine, it doesn't seem to .... fit? And even if it does, the lid (main cooking unit) doesn't look like it'll fit securely or seal nicely, was wondering if you got any pointers?

I've had this happen once when the expansion ring got misshapen but I had spares from other oven, I looked at ordering new racks etc once and it was more economical to just buy a new Halogen oven and swap parts etc.

Ah ok, thanks for your reply. I don't think my ring is mishapened, but chances are I won't need it, but I was just thinking ahead. I'll go home and triple check I guess.
Is a 'mis-shapened' ring a hazard when using this device?
Baked potatoes are great in one of these, olive oil, salt and pepper and bang it in for an hour, lovely jubbly

Thanks for great info.
Bought it and so far really impressed, even it would break after 1 year it isn’t really a bit deal at this price. Happy that I saw this offer here.

Thanks OP.

An hour, that's quite long, I thought that it would be much quicker cooking time than a conventional oven.
