Good for in the awning when your having a few beverages with you mates down at the caravan sites.

Not bad I got two of these for free when my gas supply was cut off.

It might be cheap, but running any electric fan heater certainly isn't cheap at all !

Are these particularly noisy?

Not really. I can sleep with one on. Excellent buy if you want to just heat one room instead of having the central heating on.

Around 30p an hour to run,any normal size room should be easily hot enough in half that

Yes for sure! I have a similar model at home and I use it everyday for 5 mins to heat up the room in the morning.

Can it be used with a wall plug timer or does it need to be manually switched on?

If it turns on when you plug it in, it'll work with a timer. And I'm pretty sure it will turn on when you plug it in.
