Just wanted to share this, had this for a couple of weeks now and for a budget washing machine very impressed, well screwed together and has a 2 year warranty compared to 1 year for most other sub £200 machines.

Use voucher code jan10 for 179.99, as for Hughes no drama delivered free in 3 working days from order.

Not only is Daewoo a rubbish brand but I still don't understand why people pay this stupid money for washing all their expensive clothes and towels yet they will pay at least £600 on a mobile phone.

My approach to buying a washing machine or a mobile phone is exactly the same in that I need the perfect balance of quality, reliability, performance, specification at the best price. Usually going too cheap means you sacrifice these requirements and paying too much means you end up with features which sound good, but often you don't need them. For the mobile phone, the Moto G5S Plus hits that sweet spot and for a washing machine the best specified sub £400 LG model currently available will meet the criteria. Two great products for £600 all in!

After the shambles with Currys, the customer service experience with Hughes has been a breath of fresh air.

Who are all these people you talk of with cheap washing machines yet expensive phones?

And what evidences do you base the comment on that Daewoo are a rubbish brand, they have been
going 30+ years and are not a fake brand like most budget electrical goods, they may not spend the amount on marketing their fellow South Korean's LG and Samsung do to convince westerners they are a "premium" brand, but what Daewoo do produce is perfectly acceptable for the price range it sells in.

Keep in mind that Daewoo also make the American style side-by-side fridges for what I am sure would of classed as a
good brand.....Bosch.

It is why I come on here. Hilarious- it is everything that is disposable and has no long term value snobbery. I have a Beko (Made in Turkey) and a Bosch (Made in Spain, Engineer says it is a Balay underneath as Bosch bought Balay, apparently in Spain they are still Balay branded) Both 1400 spin 7 Kg, The Bosch has issues, the programmer locks up, the engineer replaced it and it still does it, Powering off and on resets it. The Bosch spins better, the Beko rinses better. Another rinse takes 18 minutes and another spin 12, so take your choice as I tend to go and do something else anyway. If you have lived abroad (I spend about 4 months a year in another European country, that I used to live and work in.) you will see brand snobbery for the pathetic joke it is. Brands are totally reversed there, some like Zanussi are not available and others like Siemens are run of the mill. Bosch is nearly as cheap as the Chinese unknowns. Can you buy Ocean washers here? Others like Gorenje are usually the cheapo offer deals limited to a single outlet, I bought a Gorenje combi oven microwave for 57 Euros, they are sold like that, never as normal stock. They are all made all over the place, some side by side with a different drawer. Like you said, I have that Bosch "Daewoo" fridge freezer, it is fine, it does what it says on the tin, but I suppose some will think the decals make all the difference, I bought it as it was half price in the January sales one year and the cheapest that did the job I want. Pays your money (or I suspect credit card)--------
