Can't believe Govt came out against American fridges this week, just interfering in our lives for the sake of £5 of electricity per annum?

Delivery 2-4 weeks.

Hot from me.

Decent sized freezer @ 204ltrs, looks smaller on the pic - quite deceiving with the smaller door.

What is TCB c/b @ currys how can I buy it for £460.00. What voucher do u have to use to buy above Daewoo fridge. Please advise as I want to order it soon. Thanks

Buy a smaller fridge to save the planet
AFFLUENT families should swap their large fashionable fridges for smaller ones, while council tenants need to reduce the size of their televisions to help stop climate change, a new Government report has said.

But buying products is the only way for growth and growth is the only answer to save the economy. They can't have it both ways.

You don't have to be a Tory MP to consider their comments crass & impertinent. Who are they to classify people as ex-council estate (ie scum in their terms) and not deserving of a big screen TV or big fridge?

Yeah. The authors of the report are completely out of touch. The idea that you could save a massive £36 per annum by switching to the smaller option is flying in the face of people that are already used to £50 per month Sky and £20-40 per month mobile phone bills. Bigger fridges mean the ability to store more food. That means leftovers are more likely to get frozen and reused rather than thrown away. People can shop smarter to get BOGOF deals that no longer reach their expiry dates before being consumed. You can store food that is bought in season and eat it out of season without having to import it from foreign lands.

I could go on, but Nicola Terry does not paint herself as an individual with a modern family or needs.

Rustybucket, you & me both.

What the fridgin' hell are they doing labelling certain people as 'council estate' 'ie scum' etc ie deserving of a big fridge or not?

They don't even seem to realise TVs got bigger screens in the last 8 years lol.

Thank for posting... Took me a day to convince the hubby but ordered it today.. Cashback via quidco worked too

Says out of stock so will take 2-4 weeks for delivery.

Like I said, £460.30 was a nice price, I hope somebody got it.

Expired.

You said still going strong, not sure how that translates to no longer £460

It was still going strong at £460 when I posted it last night, yes with delayed delivery. Now the price has gone up again.

Don't get sore because you failed to get it in time lol

It's been 3 weeks now since I ordered mine.deluvery was estimated at 2-4 weeks but still showing as order in progress.they managed to take the money straight away but still no closer to delivering it.anyone received theirs yet???

In the same boat, called their customer services and they stated that there are another 83 people that have ordered and when I stated that money was taken out straight away, was offered a refund. Poor service, however wouldn't expect anything more from Dixon's Retail. The fridge is no longer available for sale on their site either. 4 weeks for me is up Monday so will be calling again then. Nice way of then taking an interest free loan from 83 people for 4 weeks

I've also posted on their forum:

Screw them for the fridge, IMHO

Just rang them.. Got a date for mine.. September 1st! Apparently their delivery is coming August 30th...but they guarantee I'll get it

Haha, I was given that date here too:

c.getsatisfaction.com/cur…m50

But today was told 5th sept they are 'expecting delivery' but to guarantee. They also stated they no longer offer this for sale.

Oh no.. That's worrying.. I was told it was still for sale.. Thankfully we're only upgrading and not desperate!
