I bought one of a different brand about 6 years ago for £45 and its still going strong, did not replace the bulb even.
I bought this one as a gift for family. I know several people who swear by these even if they have an oven, and some had no access to an oven and cooked pretty much everything in this. They are, IMHO one of the greatest inventions of the 21st Century!

Think I paid £25 for the same from Robert Dyas a few years back. Was hoping it was going to be a good replacement for our defunct air fryer, unfortunately not.
Doesn't cook evenly and takes longer than a conventional oven if you want to cook for more than one. Only ever use it to warm things like the odd sausage roll now.
Been using this for over a year now I love it well worth the money highly recommend it
The version with the hinged lid is worth considering if only because it takes less worktop space.

It looks like a bit like the face of an early prototype of C3PO.....
I see this item. I vote hot. Like all the previous times it has showed up for around the £22 mark.

Praise this thing. 🙏

Yes, but when I followed link on previous post, the code NOV15 was plainly advertised.
Hinged lid/digital display/2 hour timer is the best one. Andrew James x
Can't live without this. It cooks great. Only problem is the halogen bulb doesn't last for long. But I personally don't mind buying a new one everytime the light on the one I have packs up. Great asset in the kitchen.

Bulb on these ones aren't Replaceable so straight to landfill within a couple of years

Really shouldn't allow ones without Replaceable bulbs to be sold

Presumably you mean buying another bulb and not a new machine. Definitely worth getting a machine with replaceable bulbs.

I mean buying a new machine. I don't know where to get the bulbs nor how to replace them. Meanwhile, the top (cover) can not be washed so after several use over the years, one may not mind buying a new machine. The first time I bought this was over 5 years ago and it was £50 from ideal world. Lasted about 2 and half years and the bulb died. I bought a new machine on sale for £30 right after which the bulb died a few weeks ago. In my home, it is used like every day, especially by my kids who make chips and pizza on it.

Some machines have soldered-in bulbs so swapping them is a pain but others, like the Andrew James models, can be replaced. Theirs come with a spare bulb and 5 minutes with a screwdriver will do the job. More spares are on eBay for £3 or so. Cheaper than £30.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the info. I will check if mine can be replaced and have a look on ebay.

Make sure you get a bulb of the correct power. Usually 1200 to 1400 watts.
I found out that the 6 year old one that I have was by Andrew James, and a replacement bulb came in the box.
Andrew James went in administration a couple of weeks ago.
