I know a deal was posted earlier for this being £5 at 7Digital, but thought I would post the Sainsbury's deal in case anyone preferred their service. Was expecting Amazon to have it at this price too, but they seem to be £7.49.

Good price. Agreed i thought amazon would have had it as their £4.99 album of the week, but i couldnt even find it until this morning and then saw it was £7.49. Happy to buy from sainsburys tho, nectar point heat

Very disappointing album.

The guys have way over indulged themselves disco wise.

You're better off going to a charity shop, checking out their LPs and buying the first 'Disco Hits' record you can find.

Its a good price for an ok album. It is very similar sounding. Various versions of Get Lucky. Loads of vocader. Not electronic dance at all
. Not discovery at all

That's ridiculous, and you really have no idea what you are talking about. The disco/dance vibe is expected as they are Daft Punk (remember DiscoVery?), but there's more than enough variety. Tracks like "Within" and "Motherboard" are hardly disco. Plus, comparing "the first Disco Hits record you can find" to Daft Punk's latest is irrational at best. Your reductionist mind seems to consist of about three pigeon holes and little else.

Excellent album. Highly rated across the critics also.

You tell em Rabbitmoon!

Bound to be strong opinions on this album...

You're right though

As a massive Daft Punk fan I have to agree with martinelson. The most disappointing album of the year so far for me. Had such high expectation after Get Lucky was released, but that's about the only track I enjoy listening too.

Back to Homework and Discovery for me!

I agree, pretty disappointing. Contact is okay, specially if you set it going when watching the end of A Space Odyssey.

320kbps from Sainsburys if anyone was wondering

Interestingly they have the genre as 'Rock/pop' not 'Disco' or 'EDM'

My opinion (like anyone cares) is this is a good but not great album - opening track is pretty disappointing

Brilliant album! Love the Giorgio by Moroder track, when that modulated synth kicks in.. Eargasm.

after he stops talking it reminds me of the 80s Tomorrows World theme tune

Fantastic album; give it a few listens before you write it off.

Think I like 2 tracks, Tron music owned, this is utter boring ****.

this is a terrible album. Id advise everyone not to waste their cash on it! honestly if you like daft punk and their 1st album. DONT BUY IT! its the worst album iv ever heard in fact. If I had bought it I would have asked for my money back. the only decent track on it is, get lucky and even that is bad.

Any DRM on tracks downloaded from Sainsburys? Just wondering if you literally get just the mp3 of each track or do you have to download some software from them first.

£4.99 in the Google Play Store - I believe its 320kbps as well.

It's nice for people to say whether they like it or not. Healthy debate. But I can preview the tracks. So I can decide for myself.

Ignore that question just had a look at their site (I was being lazy!). Seems DRM free.

You can listen to the whole album before buing (or not) here deezer.com/en/…789

Spotify have the album up now. Just started listening to it now.

Been listening to it on my sonos via Napster....Quite disappointed

I'm loving this album. I did have to grow on me a bit though. The only track that I'm not sure about is Touch, which is a bit to like something from a musical for my taste......

This album hardly represents innovation does it?

What it does represent is just how egotistical and pretentious "The Robots" actually are... (I mean FFS they even refer to themselves as robots? please...)

Most of this dull and dreary collection of 'tunes' sounded like thevery worst of Herbie Hancock's b-side collection.

Hardly contemporary is it?

I like a bit of laid back funk disco ,so many song opinions on this I'll make up my own mind thanks:-)

Disappointing album... More electronica, less disco please Daft Punk!!!!!!!!!!

Have been a big Daft Punk fan, have both Homework and Discovery and love them both and a lesser extent 'Human After All' too. Saw them live in 2006 and ranks as one of the best gigs I've been to. But have to say this album doesn't really do much for me, quite indulgent and has been over hyped imo.
They did an interview for Guardian which gives some insight guardian.co.uk/mus…bum

I am a real fan, not like many of you who jumped on board when the greatest hits album came out. I remember when they used to have that dog in the band, how many of you can say that.

Anyway, the thing that annoys me most about this album is how much hype and advertising there is for what is a **** album.

Listen to Le Knight Club or Digitalism i
f you want daft punk of old, not this modern ****

I Was up all night to get this deal...

Why is this hot? Isn't it this price or thereabouts at 3 or more places?

RIP Romanthony.
Wish we could see you 'One more time'.

A few decent tracks whilst the others are pretty poor tbh.

Can't see any other tracks being popular tbh, they peaked with Get Lucky.

No doubt this will still be a popular album but personally I think it was over hyped.

Tried out sainsburys downloads yesterday. Shocking. Could only download the manager on one of my three computers. Download was painfully slow. Download failed three times, each time I had to phone them up to increase the download count. Uninstalled and got a refund, I didnt even have to ask for the refund, they offered it. Very buggy, not worth the hassle.

Regardless of review, it's a great price. I hope this is a trend for more new chart albums.

its def a grower. i was disappointed when i heard the stream last week but now I've gotten over the fact its not full of big beats like we expect from them its actually a very well crafted album. should be some good remixes as a result and some of it will fit nicely into the live shows whenever they get around to do them. if you don't like the album then you aren't really a Daft Punk Fan. This is def similar to the latter half of Discovery but sadly most people wanted what was on the first half more
