Had this. Superb for the price. Crap customer service unfortunately from GBest
great price, payed £75 for aliexpress and had to wait nearly a month for it
I am an utter noob when it comes to Smartphones. I was looking round for an unlocked phone with £75 being my limit and this looks perfect and the camera looks to be a beast. Anything to be wary of before I take the plunge ? I basically only want a phone to listen to Spotify, take photos and make the occasional call. Thanks.

Camera won't be a beast. This is the budget redmi so will ok in good lighting, poor in dark conditions etc.

So take that into account and also it's just 16gb storage.....Spotify if not streaming could take a good chunk of that up. Not sure....haven't used it for an age.

This phone is great for the money...just worth considering those points above.

A further 25 quid puts you into the redmi 5 plus / mi A1 which are both way better than this. Just a heads up.
Ordered this over 4 weeks ago and still not in stock
i doubt tha you could get anything new at this price that would give you decent photos except for an actual digital camera but you could get a 2nd or 3rd hand good condition older big brand smartphone for around the £75 mark, from cex or ebay ?

as a smart phone this does everything i need it to for me though not had it long, the build seems great and so cheap, maybe like an equivalent £200 western made phone

Thanks for the useful info. I still listen to music on a 4Gb Ipod mini so anything is a step up !
Had one a couple of weeks now, I bought it to try miui which took a while setting up and tweaking to my preferences but I've now got used to it, and also to drag my partner into the 21st century away from her "dumb" phone.
The screen is nice and bright, the speaker is quite loud for ringtones/message notifications, also the camera whilst you'd never describe it as a beast it's actually better than I expected it's certainly useable, I'd say it's superior to the camera on my Moto g4 which has recently passed on.
So yes I'd recommend buying one of these even if you're just curious as I was, if you don't like it you'll get your money back by shifting it on ebay.
I'm going to get myself a better model Xiaomi phone but just can't yet decide which to go for.
Perhaps I should clarify....by beast I was referring to pixel count. Pretty much all the others in this price range that I've looked at have had a 5MP rear camera.

no guarantee at all, possible customs charge of $20, DOA etc . you save a bit of money but take a risk. only buy it if you can handle losing the £65 and having no phone at the end of it.

Picked this about 2 weeks ago for Mrs while 29% off on gearbest. I paid £69.5 plus less than 5 quids delivery as we need it urgently. Chose the EU warehouse so no extra custom/tax etc. Dhl delivered tracked in 4 working days. All good.

For your basic requirements, it would be ideal. We are not photo-holic but took pictures occasionally - looks completely fine.

Because the RRP is different in India, and resellers want to make money too. GB is a reseller.

The ones for Indian markets are usually slightly different to be cheaper like not having global band support.

The light is £61. 59 @Geekbuying or £73.91 with the Bluetooth remote.
I've got 2 up in the living room, fantastic bit of kit.

I bought for 99p from eBay, still works.
Any opinions on the Chewi Hi9 tablet or the Schison tablet?
That looks deadly...
Should come with free garden gnome to sit on the toadstool....

Would suggest putting £25 to and getting either a Xiaomi A1 or a refurbed iPhone SE from here: ebay.co.uk/itm…670

That little bit more cash will help your phone last a good deal longer because of the software support and improved processor.
Does anyone have any experience with the mechanical keyboard? thanks.
What does the keyboard tie? Since fracturing my spine a few years back, I have a terrible time tying my shoelaces. Would the keyboard tie them for me?
Heat. Had the Amazfit Bip since March, it really is as good as people say. Can't fault it. I'm currently using the non-4g version of the Huawei M3 which was £249 from Argos just before Christmas. Best Android tablet I've used, totally recommend it. (I thought the 4g model was 64gb, but obviously not)

Is the Alfawise TV box good for Kodi?

My current box is only Android 4.4 so isn't Kodi 17.6 compatible.

Don't know how gear best is still allowed on here, their customer service is absolutely shocking, ordered a few of those mi-bands last year, the ones that arrived were dead on arrival, had to provide video evidence that they did not charge before they would send replacements. Took nearly 3 months to even get anything resolved let alone get working ones.

Ive commented a few times on the longevity of these Chinese phones. Basically they don;t last. I have had four all purchased due to recommendations on here and Elefone, an Umi, a Redmi and some other funny name. Add them all up and I could have got a UK spec phone that would have had 12 months warranty. Warranties on Chinese phones aren't worth anything, cost you loads to send it back to them, then you haven't got your phone and may never see it again. None of mine lasted more than 8 months - not fixable as too expensive to send back to China for repair. No-one in the Uk will touch them. Tempting due to price and spec but build quality, battery life and GUI are glitchy. Save your money! I finally learnt my lesson and now have a Moto G5 Plus which 8 months in is just starting to misbehave lol! Recommended off here at around £135.
As with all comments above I would seriously recommend NOT BUYING from these people.

I got the fitness band and it registered steps while driving, I walk a lot but not 30,000 on in average day. Wanted me to pay for return which exceeded the cost of the band.

AVOID

They wanted a video of mine adding steps while I was driving, apparently I could not explain enough times that it's illegal to use a phone in the car in the UK, they just didn't care.
If you want to buy cheap quality Chinese phones then you get what you pay for.
No point crying about it.
Save up and by premium quality mobile phones.
