When things go wrong and the Gearbest support start taking the mick, be warned if you open a PayPal dispute they will ask you to close it before they can refund you. This is a scam as you are letting PayPal know that you have resolved any issues by closing the dispute. My experience was terrible with their first offer being half the the price I paid for the item which didn't turn up... Support only replied once a day so all communication was painfully long, gave up and did a PayPal dispute to get my money back.

Good idea! I'm a happy Gearbest (and Banggood) customer!

Just be aware that any order greater than £15 is at risk of 20% VAT and an administration charge (£8-11). Gearbest/Banggood tend to mark the packages with a price lower than $15 to 'help' with the avoidance of customs charge. You are most likely to be charged if you choose express delivery with DHL - least likely if you choose the free basic delivery. If you can split small orders to be less than £15 to avoid all risk.

I find delivery is generally 15-20 days - but this was more like 28 in December.

Not a deal. Cold.
I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. I can imagine it'll take quite some time to keep on top of it though, good luck OP

Cheers

Here's the link, I've used it on rooted device and also added to pihole list which acts as whole house ad-block.

Still on Chinese servers, shame that app doesn't stay in English!

Great work, thanks msmyth. Wallet ordered.

One suggestion is that I wasn't able to copy and paste the code as it is part of the hyperlink, so maybe put the code into normal text.

My last Gearbest Order was shipped December 16th and I received it on Saturday 27th January.

Be aware that their postage can take around two months to deliver. (My parcel was £300 so I was getting antsy!)

It depends on what you order, I've had items delivered in two or three weeks. Items are roughly.delvered when they tell you. If you want things quickly get them on Amazon. I don't mind the wait, I've usually forgotten that I've ordered something so when it arrives it's a nice surprise.

The vast majority get delivered without customs charges, Just do not use DHL
ive bought phones , watches and loads of minor items and never had to pay extra on delivery.
Obvious downsides of buying from China are warranties and delivery times

To be fair, with Gearbest you can cut the delivery time to somewhere around 10-14 days by using Priority Line delivery. It's dirt cheap (often literally pence) and saves you several weeks of waiting.

I find it to be the best balance of price vs delivery time. Sure, the free delivery is cheaper, but I'm way too impatient to wait 4-8 weeks for my stuff to arrive!

I'll try it next time Yeelight strips are on offer.

Bought something on there a month ago on 'uk priority line' shipping but still hasnt arrived or even updated tracking. Good prices but horrible shipping as when I order from any other asian websites they arrive within 3 weeks max.

Q . Are they reliable ? A . Many of our members have used them without issue . Sadly many have had issues (unresolved by Gearbest ) and posted on here . Of course we have the "glowing reviews " - Incentivised ? We know that is an issue with reviews on Amazon and I suspect this site is not immune .

There are undoubtably bargains to be had but be aware that these will be "Grey imports" with no warranty or Customer support . So less savvy members should not be blinded by the glossy websites and cheapo prices and make a rational decision depending on the level of risk you are prepared to take with your money .

And that's what you did with it? Thank Christ Neil Armstrong was a bit more thoughtful
Have ordered many things from gearbest, always been delivered and have always been very happy with what I’ve received. The last thing I bought was the xiaomi Bluetooth speaker, which is brilliant and the g shock copy watch for 3.40, which is excellent for the money. In fact I’m going to be watching this thread closely because I want to order both of these again with the discount codes, heat op and thanks for the effort, ignore the trolls, many do appreciate the effort

Keep this up. It’s extremely useful. Thanks OP 😁 🏻

It's very good for smaller areas, I have both versions of the smaller purifier (S and S2 with the LED screen and improved laser particle sensor) and would recommend them. The app is very functional and easy to set up (just make sure you pick the China Mainland server for full fucntionality) The filters can be bought for around £20 - £25 delivered on Ebay/GB/BangGood etc
" Q. Are Gearbeast reliable?
A. Disputed" is the correct answer.

This is a very strange post - has UK hot deals developed a direct (rather than affiliate) relationship with Gearbeast it wants to disclose.

I ordered two Doogee BL7000 phones from Gearbest. Turns out they weren't in stock at the time (I had to find out myself).
When I eventually found out that they were back in stock (again by checking myself), Gearbest tried to charge me the new price which was almost double the original price I paid, and refused to even acknowledge that they were the exact same phone.

It was only when I left negative feedback on a couple of review sites that they suddenly changed their tune and agreed to post the phones that I paid for.
I also didn't select DHL as the delivery option, yet that's what they used, and I'm now being asked to pay ~£44 for customs.
That'll be the last time I buy anything of value from Gearbest.
